chocolate, orange filled cookies

| Instructions |
| for cookies;
2 sticks butter(unsalted)
2/3c. granulated sugar
1c. flour (level)
1c. polenta (cornmeal)
1/3c. cocoa powder
1/2 orange(skin shavings)
1 1/2tsp. baking powder
1/4tsp. salt
make sure butter is room temp. cream together with sugar i use an electric beater. In a seperate bowl blend together the remaining ingredients, then add to the butter sugar mixture in 3 batches mix each time.Put dough in plastic wrap refrigerate 1/2hr. Dust table with flour roll out with plastic wrap covering so dough wont stick to roller, roll to about 1/4 to 1/8 inch thickness.Cut with a 1 3/4 inch cookie cutter or a coffe cup if you dont have the cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, remove from cookie sheet n let cool.
orange filling:
1 stick butter (unsalted)
3/4c. powdered sugar
1/2 orange shavings (the skin only)
pinch of salt
cream all together and youve got your filling
fill them cookies place on a table where people are and watch them go. love nocturnal1 make 2 batches i warned you. |
