Rules of Conduct
The WomanSavers.com Message Board is geared towards women's issues which include, but are not limited to, dealing in preventing, healing and recovering from abuse.
This site is designed and intended solely for adults – People who are at least 18 years of age who are interested in and wish to have access to the exchange of ideas and information, communications, and verbal descriptions of various situations. Under no circumstances is this site to be utilized for any illegal activity. The site may not be accessed, viewed, downloaded or otherwise received in any country or location in which doing so would or could be deemed a violation of any law, regulation, rule, ordinance, or custom. By registering or participating in the exchange of ideas or information on this website, any member or subscriber represents that they understand, agree to, and abide by the Rules of Conduct stated herein.
WomanSavers.com moderator may, at their discretion and judgment, delete any messages that, in their considered opinion, violate any of the following terms and conditions:
1. No references to a person's address, business address, telephone number, drivers license number or social security number are allowed on the message board and will promptly be deleted upon notice.
2. No explicit references to alleged illegal or unlawful acts.
3. No messages causing any legal liability for the board, the site, its owners or moderators are allowed.
4. No flames, spam, name-calling, or being a general nuisance. The basic premise is to "get along" with others and offer advice to those in need. The exception for this rule is the "Agree to Disagree" forum which will not be censored by the moderator (unless a situation appears to be getting out of hand). This forum is not for the general public's view. No messages in the "Agree to Disagree" forum will be permanent as this area will be purged on occasion or as deemed necessary.
5. No messages which lack civility, common sense and decency. This should be obvious but unfortunately, we must point it out to some. If you really wonder why your post got deleted, there is a good chance it was because of violating this guideline.
6. No messages shall be spammed or posted to multiple boards. If you have something of value to say then post it in the appropriate message board forum. There is NO reason to post the same message across all the board forums. If you post the same message simultaneously or during same 24 hour period to 2 or more boards expect it to get deleted. Similarly, making multiple posts to the same board is not allowed. Make your point once and move on. If you continue to do this, you will be banned.
7. No multiple Handles/Aliases are allowed. Pick one "Name" and stick with it. If you are doing this, we will ban your IP address and cancel your membership.
8. No postings or advertisement postings are allowed for ANY message board. Banner ad space is available. Please see our "Advertising" page at http://www.womansavers.com/womens-advertising.asp.
9. Reviews should be added to the "Rate a Guy" database, NOT to the message boards because they will eventually disappear there.
10. The advice given on the WomanSavers.com Message Board is not to direct anyone to take specific action. If you need psychological guidance, we suggest you seek professional help. The advice columns are for venting, the sharing of opinions and information and entertainment purposes only.
11. The original poster has the ability to edit or delete their message board postings at no charge at any time.
12. Any member caught copying and pasting messages from the chat room will be banned.
13. Any member caught copying and pasting messages from the message board to other websites or locations outside our message board will be banned.
14. Any member caught copying and pasting private messages to our website, other websites or locations outside our message board will be banned.
15. Members utilizing the site for date seeking purposes will be banned. This is not a dating site.
16. Members posting pornographic material on the message boards or in the chat room will be banned.
17. Members utilizing the chat room for pornographic purposes will be banned.
18. Members who receive multiple complaints from other members will have their account reviewed and if it is determined they are causing problems on the boards, they will be banned.
19. Any member who has previously been banned who is caught back on WomanSavers will be banned and have their IP blocked.
20. Do not post or attach copyrighted material without including the specific and express permission granted by the original author (or the copyright holder if that is no longer the original author). If you do not have permission, please post a link to the material.
21. Do not under any circumstances argue with or comment on a moderator(s) call on the board. All appeals must be communicated through private messaging so as not to derail the conversation on the board. If you do not like the moderator(s) or the moderation here, then feel free not to post here.
22. You will be banned if caught impersonating owners, staff, moderator or other members.
23. Choose a username carefully. You may not use names that suggest illegal activities or that are meant to or deemed offense. Any such names may be blocked from posting on our message boards.
Moderator(s) job duties are as follows:
1. Ban trolls, spammers, abusers and/or any member violating the above rules.
2. Edit and/or delete inappropriate posts and private information if applicable. Directing disagreements into the "Agree to Disagree" forum. Moderator(s) may moderate the "Agree to Disagree" forum at their own discretion. However, we aim to keep moderation in the "Agree to Disagree" forum to a minimum.
3. Ban members posing under multiple identities.
4. Implement the website's multiple IP banning feature.
5. Trace and track IP's behind the scenes on the message board only. The DATABASE survey entries not keep records of IP’s.
6. Enforce the WomanSavers Message Board Rules.
Moderator(s) job duties do not include:
1. Explaining why they have blocked or banned someone or why a post has been edited or deleted. It is at the sole discretion of the Moderator(s) which posts to delete/edit or whose IP's to block. There will be no debates or discussions with any owners, sub-contractors or volunteers of the site.
2. Being your friend or buddy.
3. Giving advice.
4. Banning any WomanSaver employees, sub-contractors or message board forum volunteers.
5. Responding to any emails or intra-mail asking for explanations, personal "favors" or requests.
Violation of any of the above stated guidelines may result in loss of privileges and/or access to the WomanSavers.com website. We reserve the right to amend the rules at any time. WomanSavers generally does not pre-screen, monitor or edit the content posted by users of communications services, chat rooms, message boards, or any other interactive services that may be available on or through this site. However, WomanSavers and its agents have the right at their sole discretion to remove any content that, in WomanSavers' judment, does not comply with the Rules or is otherwise harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate. WomanSavers is not responsible for any failure or delay in such content. A member participates at their own risk on the message board, in chat rooms and in private messages. A member takes responsibility for postings under their username and uses the information provided her at their own risk. WomanSavers takes no responsibility for the content or opinions posted here.
