1) What is your personal goal/mission in life?
My goal is to change the way the next generation of women deal with men by networking together to share their stories to make better, safer and more informed decisions through the date screening service WomanSavers.com.
2) How do you live out that mission in your business and personal life?
I have counseled thousands of women online on their relationships and the topic of infidelity. I have created dozens of women�s cartoon ecards, online games, written articles and authored a book called �Sex, Lies and the Internet.� I have put my heart and soul into WomanSavers.com which is ranked in the top 5 percent most popular women�s websites and is home to the world�s largest database rating men. I think WomanSavers.com has the potential to change men�s behavior by making them more accountable for their actions.
3) How do you balance work life and personal/home life?
Balancing my personal/home life with work is difficult because I am such a work-a-holic. I have a type �A� personality so when I am in �work� mode, nothing can stop me but if I am in �play� mode, I may not even respond to emails.
4) What encouraged you to start Womensavers.com and/or write your book?
WomanSavers.com is spelled with an �a� not an �e� as in singular �woman.� A lot of women make that mistake when they type it in. I started WomanSavers.com in 2002 after getting out of a bad relationship. I noticed women all around me had stories of abuse and infidelity and I wanted to make things easier for the next generation of women so I started the WomanSavers.com Date Screening Database which is now the largest in the world and it is free to search and free to post worldwide. I wanted to change things so I took action. I wrote my book, �Sex, Lies and the Internet,� because I noticed so many women were not screening their dates and I wanted to show them easy ways to do all types of background checks, including character checks, so they can date safer and protect themselves and their families in this dangerous world we live in.
5) How did these events affect you personally?
When I started WomanSavers.com I was in a bad phase of my life and I had some healing to do. Creating WomanSavers was a cathartic process for me and as the website changed and evolved, so did I. Communicating and helping others who had experienced the same thing as me worked better for me than any therapist I have ever seen and it�s free!
6) What personal advice can you offer our Femmes who have been in situations similar to yours?
If you or someone you know has experienced abuse or infidelity, utilize free services like the WomanSavers.com message board which is the number one most popular abused women�s forum on the internet. You can get FREE professional advice from a volunteer physician and a psychotherapist and also get responses from women who have experienced similar situations within a matter of hours to shed light onto your situation. I noticed that many women in abusive situations are embarrassed about their situation and do not feel comfortable talking to friends or family about their situation and most do not have the funds to afford professional therapy. That�s why it�s important that WomanSavers offers these services at no charge.
7) What stories can you share with us that will shock, amaze and inspire?
I have so many stories, I�m not sure which ones to write about. There is the serial bigamist who was married to seven different women in different states who is listed in the WomanSavers database. Marriage records are currently only linked in Nevada, Texas and Florida. There is the woman who was listed on a church dating site who was profiled by a con-artist who targeted lonely, older women to con out of money and profiled her by digging through her trash, eventually coning her out of $20k after proposing marriage. There is the single mother who was targeted on a dating website by a pedophile for access to her four year old son. The pedophile turned himself into the �perfect� guy she was searching for and later sodomized her young son and then disappeared, after professing his love for her and proposing marriage. My stories are endless.
8) What is your favorite part about owning web a based business?
Reading stories of recovery, strength and success and hearing how WomanSavers.com saved a woman from getting involved with an abusive man or a serial cheater who may have risked her health by giving her a sexually transmitted disease.
9) What is your least favorite part about owning a web based business?
The long hours and with my iphone, the work literally never stops.
10) What do you do for fun?
I enjoy traveling internationally and have traveled to over 34 countries now. I�ve actually lost count now. I am certified nitrox, rescue and advanced scuba diver so I dive every chance I can. I love to snowboard and snow ski, although I am a much better skier. I also enjoy yoga and tennis. Playing with my dogs and cat is also one of my favorite activities.
11) Who is the person who most positively influenced your life and why?
Dr. Gabriel Cousens, a doctor who specialized in diet, changed my life. Deepak Chopra has also had an immense positive impact on my life.
12) What business resources would you like to recommend to our Femmes?
I�d recommend networking as much as possible on the internet. Write articles, create videos and post in forums that you are interested in.
