Men and Women both cheat. Just to clear that up we women can be just as brutal, and cold hearted as men sometimes. My b/f cheated on me, he knocked up this girl. He finally admitted it to me after three months. I do hate guys sometimes but only the jerks. I know theres some good guys out there, just like theres some good women.
Men piss me off sometimes to and hell they even write stupid songs about how they lie, how they take off once there g/f gets pregnant and it just makes me think, "Are all guys this stupid? Do they think were this blind?"
But not all are.. i’ve come to learn that over the years. |
I agree temptress some women can be just as bad
and worse.I don’t hate all men either just the ones
who did me and my loved ones bad.I know there are
some good ones out there, but the process of elimination really sucks.

Smart move temptress just keep moving on and don't look back. I've never had a so called friendship with a man where he didn't hit on me.
I tell them to back off and if they are true friends
they will stay with me..if not I don't need them.

I am 32, blonde, thin, told that I am a 9 (only telling you this so that you can help me understand why my husband betrayed me). I have been married for 8 yrs. to the man all my friends and family see as the perfect husband. He is the one that everyone would bet their money on as being loyal, faithful, honest, you get the picture. Well last March he got a job that would take him to Texas for 4 months, we live in CA. I never for a second would have any reason to think he’d go to a strip club, but for some reason told him before he left to please not go to one. He assured me that he had no desire to go to one of those places and made me feel stupid for even suggesting it. Well, guess what? He went, lied to my face about it more than once and said he wasn’t thinking about me or what it would do to our marriage and that he had no intention of telling me. I am completely destroyed. My husband can’t say no to temptation. Not only did he look at naked 20 yr. old women dancing for him, but he spoke with these sluts when they came to sit at the table with him and all his single friends from work, but also tipped them with $5 bills!!! WHile I sat home on the couch taking care of our 4 yr. old daughter my husband was spending his time with strippers!!!!!!!!! I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. |
hello missjean
Maybe your husband really had no intention of going to a strip club beforehand...but if he was
with a group of people they probably ragged him
into going... that's how some single guys are.
So how did you find out? Did he lie about it in
the begining and then finally tell you the truth?
Seriously I don't think you have anything to worry
about with your husband.I've been in the same
situation where I was married and out with single
gals that talked me into going to a bar.. something
I wouldn't normally do.I'm sure he lied about it
to begin with because he knew how you would
react...at least he did finally admit it..he could
have kept on denying it.I do understand your
feeling of betrayal though.I personally don't
have a problem with a guy going to a strip club but
I've always known it up front.I've been to see
the Chippendales before myself.I hope you two
can get past this.

All natural bio-identical progesterone cream
works wonders for PMS.You can find it in health
food stores/vitamin shops or on the net.I use Pro-gest brand
you can use any brand just make sure it doesn't
contain mineral oil(that prevents absorption)

In an effort to have him leave it alone and it not end up missing, I
told him that it was an eyeball remover. I put it up to my eye,
covered my eye with my hand, acted like I was pulling out my eyeball

Geez she’s 22 and has a 6 year old and HE IS LIVING WITH THEM????? May I ask... how old is he? You say you’ve been married for 13 years he’s way too old to be living with his cheater and her mother. She may be totally naive and attracted to "the older man" that doesn’t justify her actions tho she’s old enough to know right from wrong..and who on earth would want an older man that piles up on the family?

Don’t listen to the sad stuff listen to I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor I was going to post the lyrics but for some reason it won’t let me copy and paste.I love this song.
Girl you must go to college!!! Everyone gave good advice you can get grants/student loans (how do you think all those Doctors and Lawyers with no privileged backgrounds got there) What do you want to do as a profession? Piscian traits are selfless/do-gooders and yes sometimes with their head in the clouds but you have to get yourself to a place where you can help others and that means helping yourself first.Get that college education make yourself an independent individual who has to rely on no one... men included.

Dream analysis is fascinating...I can't interpret any of it tho.
Most of my dreams involve trying to get somewhere and I
can't or dreams about being in college and getting ready
to graduate and realizing I missed a whole semester of some
class I needed...weird.
Can anyone explain this? My oldest sister swears it was not
a dream but it creeps me out anyway.I hope this isn't too long.
I'm the youngest of three sisters when this happened my middle
sister and I had already left home my oldest sister still lived
there. She said she woke up one night and saw a two legged
hooved devil walk beside the bed(she said she could hear
the hooves on the hard wood floor) it turned to look at her
and smiled this hideous grin then disappeared into the wall.
The next day she was talking to my middle sister that lived
across state and told her of her dream...my middle sister
got real quite and finally said I dreamed last night that you
died and I prayed for you...this ^^^^ creeps me out^^^^
Was it a dream a coincidence??? Just to add my oldest
sister was always an agnostic my middle sister very spiritual.

Five
months. He just gave his new girlfriend an engagement ring, after
two months of dating. That’s headed for disaster. poor
girl. I just don’t care to listen to happy stuff right now.
When I hear it, it kind of annoys me so I turn it off. Is the I
will survive the one that goes like this: At first I was afraid.
I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without you by my
side. But then I spent so many nights thinkin how you did me
wrong. And I grew strong. And I learned how to get along.... ? What
do I want to do? I was thinking a job on a forensics team in the law
enforcement. Strange but I think I want to be the person who does
the autopsies, or a crime scene investigator. Not quite sure yet.
|
Yes that 's the song! Five months isn't that long you still have
alot of healing to do and yes you're right that relationship is
doomed.
My whole family except my dad is in the medical field..my
middle sister is a nurse that is doing forensics for rape cases.
I think forensics is fascinating and a good field to get into.
I watch all the forensic shows on A&E...cold case files is
my favorite.

pain.. However, I cannot wait until at least a year has past

My
dad took off when I was 13. I despised him, he knocked the crap
out my mom and was mean, told me and my sisters we were good for
nothing cause he wanted boys. I wanted so badly to never end up
with a man like my father. And naturally that wonderful cycle
repeated itself, not as extreme but very much like him in alot of
ways. I was attracted to a manipulating liar, I believed
everything and got burned big time...but he didn’t have a drug/alcohol
prob so I guess I missed that part, but it still sucked. I was
determined through high school to never get married wasn’t going
to be tied down, wanted to enjoy my freedom and independence, and boom
i got married and had a kid.....but I am not whining, just blowin off
steam...we all learn from our paths...some rocky, some calm..but we
learn.

I went out tonight with an ex-boyfriend, who was home for a week
visiting friends and family. Tomorrow morning he will return home to
Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he now lives. We talked a lot
about us. We talked a lot about everything. Hopes for the future.
Regrets of the past. People we have dated since he and I broke up
six years ago. I told him that I am happy as single woman, but I
would like to find someone to share my life with. I explained that I
was looking for true love. Real love. That "I want to spend
the end of my days with you" kind of love. Not the kind of relationship
I see so many of my friends in. Not the "I need to be married
because all of my friends are married" relationship. Not the "I
need someone to take care of me" kind of relationship. The real
thing. The kind of relationship where you can meet a great,
sexy, wonderful person and trust in your heart that regardless of
how wonderful this person is, he/ she pales in comparison to the one
you have at home. He then told me, "I don’t
even know if I can recognize that feeling anymore. I’m
not sure I even know what love means or how it feels anymore." "It’s
that feeling that you want to spend time with her. A lot of time.
You want to do things for her to make her happy. You can’t
stop thinking about her. When you think of the future, you
imagine she is a part of it." "Well, then that describes how I
feel about you and have always felt about you. I think about you
all of the time. Even now." He then recalled an
image he sees of me. I’m standing in the snow, waiting for him to
come pick me up. I remember that day, too. He
said the image still bowls him over. We discussed his inability to move back home and my inability to be happy in a place like Jackson Hole. "You were always the ’right’ girl," he said. "Yeah, but the one who always had the wrong timing," I said. "Yeah," he paused. "Right girl. Wrong timing." He’s
returning to his home nearly 2000 miles away and I’m here thinking
about how possibly the greatest love of my life is leaving. This
hurts. I didn’t expect this tonight. I’m really, really,
really sad.
|
Aww krissmiss..your story is so sad...but I think if this love is
strong enough you two could come to a compromise..where
are you?Could you two move to a place outside the city
nature for him, city for you? I just believe if the love is strong
enough you will find a way to make it work.

Krismiss..you are a Gem of good advice..I didn't see Eve's
original post but it sounds alot like my situation.I heard from
others after my divorce..."he's in a $750,000 house(which is a
lot where I live) with his new trophy wive" yes that bothered me for a
long time ..but just like you said it's a recipe for disaster.
He's got a new baby and he's calling my up b/c he heard I
was getting married.
So to Eve.. it took me awhile to get over the.. he has this I
have nothing thing..b/c that's so untrue...I have diginity,respect

I agree with everyone else the female gut instinct is a strong
thing not to be underestimated and the cultural aspect is
so different.I work with a British Doc I love him to death
and I love to hear him talk. He's been here a long time so
he's pretty Americanized(he loves to gossip more than women)
But if you're feeling serious about this guy...wait for the divorce

Yes,

the dating game, most people can’t see past some faults and take a
person’s value as a whole.

Call me a prude but I don’t condone internet dating :-P I want to meet a man face to face for the first time(simply for the psychical reaction) and look into his eyes. The eyes are the mirror of the soul to me...you can tell every emotion from looking into the eyes.
When you ask a man something of importance look into his eyes...don’t waver..if he looks away.. scratches his nose something is not right. You have to keep the eye contact I say this with confidence b/c I can out stare any man. It’s one of the few things I can say with confidence.
If you are looking at a man eye to eye and ask..are
you cheating ..or maybe do you love me....if he can't
look you in the eye and answer honestly ...he will look
away.

Thank
you. I wrote this not long ago when the mood struck me, and I
felt the need to post it here. I had to do something to
try to get my point across here. Like in the jokes section, the women waiting for the perfect man are dead and long forgotten. Ladies,
no man is perfect, and no man ever will be. If he has more good
qualities than bad, then he is worth keeping. If you find a man
who is caring, committed, makes a decent living (decent, not luxurious), and can take care of himself then don’t throw him away, and please don’t take the opportunity to "trade up".
If you are able and willing to spend the rest of your days with no
long-term partner by your side, then by all means, go ahead and do
that. Any open-minded man will respect that. But, if you’re
looking for a partner and commitment, expect nothing more from him than
you would anticipate him expecting from you. This is what will
make a long-term relationship work. For the sake of happiness in
commitment, if you’re going to take something, then take what you can
get.
|
No man or woman is perfect..that's reality. The main thing
in a relationship to me is trust and respect ..love and sex
come in last b/c if you don't have the before mentioned
love and sex will fall by the wayside. You can love alot
of people and have sex with alot of people but it doesn't
mean much is you don't have trust and respect.

I dated this guy for 6 months about 3 years ago we have
remained friends over the years going out here and there.
V-Day he left a rose and card under my windshield wiper
the card was a humorous sex card with a note I have always
cared about you.I have always cared about him too but as
usual I have up my iron walls. We went out Friday night and
were trying awkwardly to discuss our feelings when I mentioned
his job..he has a real estate business and in the past I always
felt he had an irresponsible streak. So being the too blunt for
my own good Sagittarious that I am I asked him do you pay
your taxes? Being the also honest Sagittarious he said no...
I haven't paid my taxes in about 3 years!!! This totally turned
me off...do you think I'm being unreasonable about this?
When I think about a future with someone I don't want it
to be with someone who doesn't pay their taxes. To me
that's just blatant irresponsibility.

I appreciate the responses..I really do like this guy and I feel he has always been honest with me...whether it’s to his benefit or not.I just don’t see a future there.
Alex ..we didn’t go into details..I don’t know if he actually filed but owes back taxes or not he did say that the last house he sold all the money went to the IRS...so maybe he did file or maybe they just caught up with him.I know being self employeed sucks when it comes to taxes..but if you paid quarterly you could keep up on things.
I just did my measley income tax return online...I have 0 deductions.I’ve been in an apartment for almost 4 years. I can’t wait to get a house..in fact he took me today to look at 3 houses and I fell in love with one but my apartment lease isn’t up until Aug.Has anyone ever tried to get out of a lease? I know I’ve just been throwing my money away the past 4 years and I could get a house for almost the same monthly payment but the thought of buying a house alone makes me want to hurl. I’m going to try and post a few pics..tell me what you think.

LOL Harley that was hilarious!
Speaking of men peeing...ahh what a story I have to tell.
I have an old guy friend a mere babe 28..he and his girlfriend
were on the outs so he called me up wanting to go out.I
hauled him around all night b/c he had a previous DUI.
We came back to my place and he falls asleep on the couch
and I go to bed.Hours later my bedroom door swings open
and he's standing there staring at the wall.I get up and ask
him what are you doing..I looked down and he had PEED
on the carpet!!!!! His thang was hanging out so I just slammed
the door..ewwwww I waited awhile and came back later
to try and clean it up.The next day he didn't remember
anything..I spent the next morning steam cleaning my carpet.
He apologized profusely ...he said he thought he was at
home and the distance from my couch to my bedroom
was the same as his bedroom to the bathroom.I do believe
him he I think he was sleep walking ..the lights were on but
no one was home.
I've had two friends tell me that their husbands will get up in the
middle of the night and pee in the closet!Ewwwwwwwwww

That’s scary stuff knowing that someone can invade your personal life like that. It’s hard to feel sorry for her and her big ego tho.I think Gwen Stefani’s(sp) ego is just as bad.Shes constantly talking about how gorgeous she is...I personally don’t see it.Her husband on the other hand is very HOT!
I skipped over the posts about Saw b/c it’s coming this weekend from Netflix...that and Shark Tale...what a combo. I saw the Grudge and thought it was pretty creepy..I’m sure there will be a part two.

I can't offer any big city advice..I love to visit Chicago but
wouldn't want to live there....Atlanta and New Orleans are
fun too.Minnesota too darn cold for me.I 've never been
out West but would love to.
Austin... isn't that where my favorite man Matthew McConaughey hangs out?
I'm happy in my semi small city of Nashville...it's very pretty
here lots of hills...beautiful lakes nearby for water sports
and the mountains are several hours down the road. There's
lots of night life, good restuarants, many historical spots and
of course country music.I'm not a big CM fan but I am
going to see Keith Urban next month.
Do as someone else suggested...go and visit all the cities
and get a feel for them so you don't have culture shock.
Big cities are nice to visit..but I prefer the smaller ones.
Good luck in your quest.

Johnny Depp is awesome..besides being incredibly handsome he’s not afraid to look/be goofy in a movie and he doesn’t have to be the invincible hero like most famous actors(Tom Cruise comes to mind) Secret Window was on the other night...his hair in that movie kills me. I love his quirky sense of humor and his humbleness. He loves his momma too...I can’t say enough about him. Did you guys see him on Oprah some time ago?

Spermicidal foam comes in
a pressurized can. There is also a plastic instrument that

Sperm foam has been around for ages..it's not a very reliable

Starlight I think you are doing the absolutely right thing..trust me you won’t have to say a word to your son he will come to see how his father is on his own.Children do not need to be put in the middle of things (that is just too much for their fragile minds and can affect them later in life)I am so glad that
you are receiving child support...a lot of women never
receive a penny.
The penis eraser story was funny and helped lighten the mood. I’m glad things went well and you had someone else there for support.I had a twelve person support group when I went to court family, friends,my boss and even a patient of mine. That meant so much to me since it was a nasty contested divorce. The ex to be was there and had no one and you know what’s so funny was I actually felt sorry for him.Why I don’t know....I’m just too kind hearted for my own good sometimes.
So you keep your head up Starlight there are bigger, brighter and better things ahead for you and your son..stay strong! If I could reach through this computer and hug you I would.

As I stated in another post to Ryansalex... I guess she never
saw it cause she didn't respond..but I had an affair and I'm
very ashamed that I did but it took some humility and a
couple of glasses of wine to admit this on a site dedicated
to cheating men...I had my reasons which I won't go into.
So Wire it's not all men who cheat and I definitely don't
hate ALL men...but this is a site for women who have been
mistreated by men so don't take the comments here as
directed to you as a man. I hope you realize this and decide

I think you will know when you are really ready to get out there
and start dating again. I go through droughts as I call them
where I don't care about dating at all. I've been in a drought
for almost 8 months now. You'll know on the first date whether
or not you're up for this.
I'm sorry this guy had to cancel, did he mention going out another
time? If not I would consider that a red flag and move on.
When you do decide to jump into the big pool of dating again
you have to be strong enough to say oh well that didn't work
out...step on it and kick it behind you.

Shattered Thanks for posting that.I saw many similarities in my first husband who turned out to be physically abusive.
I have a strong belief that some things stem from childhood... it is the blueprint for your future.Whether that blueprint is good or bad it molds your life..Then comes peer influences and society and the media to warp children’s minds.I mean look at the computer games today...filled with violence...TV and music filled with violence/profanity and adultery..Children are mimicing
crimes they have seen in the news. .It’s really sad unless you can keep
your child in a cocoon they are subject to this and these things do
make an impression on young minds.
Scott Peterson is definiitely not an anomaly...husbands who kill pregnant wives happens all the time..Remember Lori Hacking and there are numerous incidents that weren’t played up by the media because they weren’t upstanding bubbly girls which makes me sick.. there is the same devastation for friends and family no matter who you are It’s just sensationalism and everyone plays into it.
What made Scott Peterson do what he did...what makes any individual commit heinous crimes? Where did that circuit go wrong in their heads and why????
And the point to this thread was do think the traits you mentioned above are related to anything I mentioned as far as childhood, peers, society?

yes,
and many psychologists & experts point to childhood trauma and
other factors. If you go to my site (I will put the URL below)
there’s loads of stuff there and I add new articles all the time. My
point about Peterson wasn’t just that he murdered. First and
foremost the guy was a PLAYER. Like many men/women talked about
on this great site he had a sense of entitlement, thought he was above
it all and the whole world revolved around him. He was at his
core - a narcissist. Not all of these players and users and
abusers kill or even physically abuse. Look at Amber Frey and
Janet Ilse. Say what you want about them but Peterson PLAYED them
- PLAYED on their deep need to be loved - PLAYED on their insecurities
- and GOT OFF ON IT. When you read not just my story (under New
York) but so many of the stories here you see this over & over
& over again. People are just objects to these
guys/girls. To be used and tossed away when inconvenient. I
could go on about our "disposable society" but I won’t. Peterson
killed - and got caught. But what about those guys/women who kill
dreams, kill souls, kill hearts and kill trust? That’s my point. http://abusesanctuary.blogspot.com
|
I did get your point and I'm glad you made a post of warning
signs.I just got side tracked on Peterson and why people are
this way to begin with. I wrote down the
link to your site...sometimes I don't get on here for days and
I lose track of where I last posted.

Alot of times I'll rent a movie and not get to watch it.
Netflix has much more than Blockbuster and now that
Blockbuster has gone online Netflix will probably lower
their prices since BB is 14.99 and NF is 19.65. If you can
watch movies and send them back right off the bat it's much
cheaper than going to a video store

Whew that was kinda hard reading that ;-) If you didn’t have to converse b/c of your children I would say change your number. That’s typical of a male who has cheated to be jealous of what you might be doing...so sorry he made his own bed.I will tell you this take whatever you can get from him as far as marital property...the cops won’t do shit and it’s very unlikely he will get it back in the settlement...if you have to put it in someone else’s house. My first husband broke into my house while I was at work when we were separated and took almost everything including the washer, dryer ,frig bed ,furniture I came home to an almost empty house and these were things we acquired during the marriage.I should have listened to my mom when she told me to start moving things somewhere else.I got NONE of those things back in the settlement..so you get whatever you can girl cause he can’t do shit about it...just don’t take anything he had before the marriage and if he makes threats get a restraining order against him.I hope his girlfriend’s hair is really frizzy now :-)

Things right off the bat...
Arrogance
Can't look you in the eye when talking
No manners(if they don't have them when
you meet they never will)
Lack of compassion( a few questions/scenarios will clear that up)
Delusions of Grandeur (What is your profession?I'm the vice president of some company you've never heard of)
I had a guy tell me he was the VP of some printing company
here..that didn't exist!
If you want to check someone out you can go to intelus.com
if you know their real name..it will provide some info like age
or a spouse/ex spouse will be listed under their name..then you can pay for more info if you want.I've never paid for services
but I have found some interesting things like my ex's wife who
said she'd never been married but had.

to actually take responsibility for themselves. Ithink a
lot of it has to do with low self esteem and lonliness. It seems
that more women are sacrificing themselves, their wants andneeds just
to be in a relationship period. I have done it beforeand got
burned. I learned my lesson, accepted my mistake and ammoving
foward and I can assure myself and everyone else that it won’thappen
again EVER. I didn’t see that episode ofMontel. I
usually don’t watch him. I just feel sorry forthe children.
At 9 years old, I was still playing sports and withdolls, not trying to
set adults up! I actually think at 9, boysmay have still had
cooties. |
Lady I agree..about the children.. it really saddens me that alot of parents will put their children in the midst of their problems and treat them more as friends to confide in than children. These are children they shouldn’t have to deal with their parent’s problems...they’ll have enough to deal with later in life!!! Children are like a bolb of playdough you mould
them and make them into what they will be in the future.

Talk to your lawyer about his behavior...that could definitely
have a bearing on custody rights. Divorce can make you go

willmake I’m sorry I found this so late and I’m glad you got good news. Be sure to do your breast self exams on a regular basis.Cysts are estrogen related so right before your period when estrogen is at it’s highest they will enlarge and become sore. When your period starts and you have that surge of progesterone they will shrink. If you ever feel a new lump go and have an ultrasound. Ultrasound can diagnose a palpable lump without having a mammogram(no need to have that low dose radiation which is completely aborbed by the body)unless you have a family history of breast cancer. Again I’m glad to hear the good news!!!

checked one way or another...thanks again.. |
Please
get it checked right away. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in
June 2004; it was very early stage and therefore, very treatable.
As cancer progresses to other stages, your options become more and more
limited...so it is important to find it early if at all possible. The
first place to go, if you cannot find a free women’s health center or
clinic, is to a regular OBGyn. She will do an exam and determine
the need for a mammogram at that point. Her staff will be able to
assist you with where/how to get that done, etc. Like I said
before, do it now. I was very lucky with the outcome of my
situation, many people are not and that is primarily a function of
their having waited too long. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions...I am unfortunately, extremely knowledgeable on the subject!
|
Miss Priss I didn't know that..thank God you caught it early.
Was this a lump you could feel or were you going for a
routine mammogram? Unfortunately I have seen those
women that waited too long and it's very sad.

My
feelings exactly. We have toys that we use sometimes, too. The
operative word here being "sometimes." I certainly wouldn’t want it to
ever get to the point where we have to use the toys in order to have
sex. So I think the two of us viewing pornography together every
once in a while is okay. I would just be very hurt if he were to
masturbate to it on his own. I am sexually available to him any time
for any thing (short of inviting other people in to our sex life, of
course). He, on the other hand, has a much lower sex drive than me and
often turns me down for sex. This is the biggest problem we have in our
relationship. So in my mind, he should be using every single one
of his sexual urges on me, not on images of other naked women.
|
Men will masturbate you'd be surprised how many men
masturbate in the shower each morning. It's not uncommon.
I don't think viewing porno together is bad..you just have
to be cool enough with yourself to not mind the females
I mean there are some hot looking well endowed men
as well.Do you think that bothers your husband? It's just
a visual mood enhancer. As someone else said if he gets
obsessed with it that's another matter..but you said he
hasn't but you fear he will b/c he did in the past.Don't
fret over things that haven't happened.I don't know what
to say about the low sex drive has he always been that
way or is he on any medication that would cause it like
blood pressure medicine?

It’s hard to tell from that picture whether it’s a rash or dilated veins..but I’m leaning towards dilated veins.. dilated veins and rashes will get worse when heat is applied... like a hot shower.Do you have a job where you

causedilated veins..as well as pregnancy... does your mother have
dilated veins? They are hereditary but you can get treatment for them
they have lasers for smaller ones and other procedures for the big
varicose veins.Vitamin Kcream is supposed to help with small ones like
spiderveins.Do they look better in the morning after you’ve been
off your feet for awhile?Exercise(to increase circulation and keep the blood flowing)if you have a job where you sit all day just flexiing your toes or ankles will help to keep the blood pumping back up to your heart(some folks have problems with the valves in their veins where the valves don’t always close properly after each pump so the blood flows backwards and pools in the veins causing them to swell
but this happens mostly in older age) and wearing support hose during
the day will help. Most dermatologists have lasers in their office
now.Whether it’s a rash or dilated veins a dermatologist can help.

Ah!
Manly help needed. Kewl. You say he cracked the tank? Follow the crack,
if possible, see if there is any moisture along the length of the
crack. Does the crack coincide with meeting at the base, where the tank
meets the toilet itself? That joining place, if disturbed, can cause it
to leak, its usually metal... If water is dripping off the tank
into a pot with a full tank, use food colouring to trace it, you’ll
have to wipe down the toilet as you locate it...Home Depot sells a
special glue that works to seal porcelain toilets... Water that
drips from the line is an indication that the washers in the shut off
need to be replaced, this requires the main water shutoff to be made,
then replaced, that is a pain in the ass to do one’s self... Hope this helps...?

list of symptoms of PMS, perimenopause and menopause. Did you ever
imagine hormonal imbalance could wreak such havoc on your body?
It’s all the more disturbing if you reported any of these
common symptoms to a medical professional and were dismissed with
a raised eyebrow or a wave of the hand.
Go ahead. Count how many of these symptoms are bothering you right
now. The more you have, the more important it is to get your body
into balance. (Use the links in the list to get more information
about your individual symptoms.)
What are your symptoms telling you?
Perimenopause (and later, menopause itself) is not an illness,
but a natural process in a woman’s body. Your symptoms are
just indicators of underlying hormonal imbalances or metabolic damage
from poor nutrition, stress and other factors.
You need to regain the natural hormone balance of your body. With
proper support, your body is perfectly capable of achieving a proper
hormonal balance. That means you can be free of the unpleasant symptoms
of PMS, perimenopause or menopause.
We use multiple forms of natural remedies and support, depending
on the level of symptoms you’re experiencing. And there’s
a special program if you’re trying to get off hormone replacement
therapy (HRT). These combinations have been developed and refined
in 20 years of clinical practice involving tens of thousands of
women.

Hi Darbelina, My

because the condition of most water nowadays is so unclean that
you can easily contract a UTI by sitting in there too long.

Yikes most water is unclean!!! That's scary to know...
soaking in a bath was what gave me the most relief.
I still soak in the tub... can't do without it but I never
get in public hot tubs. They say the water is so hot you
won't catch anything... but that's not true I've seen
numerous patient's who've contacted staph from a hot tub.
I used to get UTIs so bad my doc told me to take one
antibiotic every time I had sex which did help but I
always worried that I would become resistant to the drug.

I think background checks are great.. an internet date or
someone you met in person can still be very deceiving.
If it gives you peace of mind go for it.
I guess I'll never be into the internet dating thing because
it can be so deceiving..I prefer to met someone face to face
for the first time at least then I can look into their eyes...when
I ask questions and also see their general demeanor...of course
that's no guarantee either...nothing is.
I wish potential partners came with references..LOL
wouldn't that be cool... a list of exs.I've learned quite

Alex my ex-husband that I cheated on actually came to see me two years ago and told me he felt responsible for my looking to someone else for love and attention and that was the first time I had ever told him I was sorry for what I did that alone was a big lift off my shoulders b/c I had never told him this.He said he still loved me and wanted to know if there was still a chance for us I just kept thinking of the years of living with a roommate/ husband with no affection.Of my three marriages(yes three in my relentless search to replace the father I never had) he was in retrospect the best..he didn’t hit me and he didn’t cheat on me..he was just not there emotionally and physically... we were great companions and roommates. My first husband hit and cheated and my last husband cheated on me as I felt I deserved b/c of what we did.As I mentioned in another thread speaking with the ex reveals alot my last husband’s ex wife told me he had cheated on her two times so he is nothing but a serial cheater..he’s remarried now with a child and has two from his first marriage I feel sure it will happen to her too..He’s a doctor and doctors are the worst! ways.I wish we had talked about and tried to deal with this
many years ago instead we just shoved it into some little
compartment of our minds and tried to go on as nothing had

I love these kinds of threads..where to start.
I've tried many expensive face creams and they just aren't
all that. La Mer was a big waste of money! I really don't
think anything topical will get rid of wrinkles just exfoliate
and moisturize.I use derma new with the electric sponge
and cream to exfoliate it does a good job.I'm using Olay
regenerist day and night cream and it works just as good
as the expensive stuff.I really like the new night cream it
makes your skin feel like velvet.
For the body Avon moisture therapy and aveeno body cream
they last 24 hours. The Olay in shower moisture cream is
great too especially when you're in a hurry.I was given some
Laure Mercier body souffle that's really good but I wouldn't
buy it for myself it's too pricey.
I'm really into Molton Brown body washes right now the
heavenly gingerlilly is awesome and the exhilarating julipe
body scrub is even more awesome!
Hair products..Schwarzkopf Igora shampoo and herbal
sealer and Aveda pure abundance these are to build
body my hair is flat as a board.
Nars eyeshadow and blush and Lancome eyeshadow.
I use English Ideas powder foundation which I really
love but can't find here I have to order it from Sephora..
my favorite place! I like Estee Lauder more than mascara Rosebud lip salve, Kiehl's lip balm and Burt's Beeswax.
My all time favorite
lipstick is Dior Addict # 659 it's a cross between lipstick
and gloss. The ONLY hairspray I've found that works for
me is Kenra volume spray super hold..it holds your hair
without looking or feeling like helmut head.I hope they never quit making it.I'm a hopeless product and scent whore.I
have two tall storage cabinets full of body products, candles
and scented oils.My favorite thing I've purchased recently
are candle warmers I have one in every room. The candles
last forever and there's no soot or burning flame to worry
about.Ok I'll shut up now and go read the other posts in
this thread.

Wire
You should in no way shoulder the blame for this.It seems
she knew she wasn't protected but never spoke up..a woman
should ALWAYS be responsible for her own protection!!!
Whether she has it or she makes sure you have it b/c she
and she alone will bear the burdens of pregnancy/abortion.
Don't get me wrong you will be affected as well but never
in the magnitude that she will and as stated earlier nothing
is full proof..pills,condoms,shots.This is the risk you take
whenever you consent to sex.
I am prolife and that is my decision for MYSELF and no one
else as well as religion and politics and I would never judge
or belittle anyone else for their decisions/beliefs.I mean where
do people get off thinking their beliefs are what everyone else
should go by??? My favorite motto.."Walk a mile in their shoes" so Wire you two made a decision that was in your
best interests and I will support you in your decision.
About her parents there is really nothing you can do right
now about that as frustrating as it may be...just make the
most of the time you do have together.

And before everyone jumps down my throat...this is the same Wire that posted Nakamoose’ pregnancy as an April fool’s joke. So, in light of that, second-guessing the seriousness here is okay. Idont
doubt this is a difficult situation for the both of you, but youtook a
risk in which a beings life must now be extinguishedfrom the
universe before it ever got a chance to breathe. Allbecause two people
couldnt communicate clearly enough the intent toavoid the events you
two set in motion. As for Nakamoose mombeing against Wire
attending. I support the mom. Yeah, Wire I do readyour posts, They are
brilliant. They are also fraught with anger andsome violence. Didnt you
threaten the life of someone to get theattention of a former girlfriend
just to talk to her? Your unstable, wesaw some of this before. I dont
think it unreasonable for a parent toincite overprotectiveness here. And
thats where you and I agreeWire, I also would be fighting to be there
with the woman I lovethrough all of this, it hurts to see the one you
love in pain...butwith your age where it is, the parents have more
rights unless the bothof you are over 18? I hadnt intended to upset Wire or any members here, for that, I do apologize. |
Like I had said before, her mother does not know who I am. Because of that, her overprotectiveness is out of irrationality.
|
Right she doesn’t know who you are... A good mother will always protect her young..you may not see that now Wire but when you grow up and have children of your own this will hit home.Whether they are oblivious to your good intentions or not you have to step back and try to see how they are feeling right now which will probably be next to impossible for you...not being "In their shoes"

Not to scare you just stating some stats in my little part of the
world.I've seen several patients with IUDs that perforated
the uterus(causing peritonitis which is a mess and very painful) and I've had two patients get pregnant while on the
Depo shot and one pregnant with an IUD which caused a
spontaneous abortion. These are of course small compared
to the whole.I wouldn't recommend an IUD if you plan to conceive in the future due to the possibility of scarring the
endometrium and making implantation difficult.Any form of hormonal contraception will have
it's side effects you just have to experiment. The only birth
control pill I could tolerate was Lo-Ovral.The implant like
Depo can cause side effects you're stuck with even if you
remove the implant the side effects can continue.I have a
lot of patients on Depo who have problems with continuous bleeding or not starting their period for over a year after
stopping the shots. This is just me but I would prefer to
have something I have more control over.I currently use
condoms..they aren't the best for either partner but at
least I don't have any side effects.Good luck in your search.

I am on depo shot since last year. Honestly, i like it because I
don;t have to deal with period every month as I was always in a lot of
pain before in period time. Beside it, one side effect that I like is
that to gain more weights - I am tiny. I am only 98lbs at this time,
5".. always buy clothes at children store - size 12 of children clothes. The
side effects are sometime horrible. I have at least 3 days each
month being very depressed - really really depressed that I just want
to cry with no reason at all. I lost a lot of hair on my head too..
sometimes I had thought that i might be bald soon. I have to take
Calcium every day because Depo shot might make our bones lack of
calcium. I’ve never tried the patch. I hate anything stick to
my skin and then take my hair on that place away as I don;t have much
hair .. and it hurts a lot.. That’s my thinking.. Depo is good if you are not afraid of gaining weights.
|
Starting and especially stopping birth control can cause hair
loss and alot of women experience hair loss after giving birth.
It's a response your body has to inducing or taking away
hormones after giving birth that plethora of hormones your
body had for nine months is gone causing shell shock but
the good thing is it's only temporary.
I too used to be tiny I'm 5'4" and weighed between 110
and 115 since I was a teen. Then all hell broke loose about
two years ago I gained 25 lbs.over the course of a year
and my hair started falling out...I lost about 50% of my
hair :-0 I found out it was my thyroid and have been
battling this for over a year now.No matter how much I
diet or exercise the weight will not come off.I fluctuate
between hypo with extreme tireness and hyper with
heart palpitations and joint pain. This is what happens
in the mid 40s perimenopause and often times this is
when thyroid problems crop up.I've done tons of research
on the thyroid and I never realized that it controls all
the hormones in your body.If it is out of whack then everything
else is too.I often wonder if my years of doing x-rays and
holding patients while in the direct path of radiation without
a thyroid shield contributed to my problems now not to mention
cataracts from not wearing lead googles but when you're
x-raying a screaming child you just don't think to grab all
that protective garb.
Sorry I got way off topic here guys.

The Crystal Rabbit is by far the best!!! Check out
cybernooky.com to see it... it's pricey but worth it. As far as I know
most companies ship in discreet packaging.Do you have
a friend you could have it sent to? Mine was sent to my
apartment complex office..they didn't know what it was
there was nothing printed on the outside that anyone could
decipher. The reason this one is so awesome(and pardon me
but it doesn't bother me at all to talk about these things) is
because the shaft rotates and the little clitoral rabbit on the
top vibrates you have g spot stimulation as well as clitoral
stimulation making for an explosive orgasm!!!
Which brings up a question for you gals I've often discussed
this with my girlfriends.I have two different kinds of orgasms
internal and external.Internal is from intercourse and external
is from oral between the two internal is better.I have girlfriends
who say they can't orgasm from intercourse alone but have
to have an external stimulator like a silver bullet. Some don't
think the G spot exists I disagree I have one and I know
exactly where it is.About two inches in on the anterior wall
a small raised sand paper feeling spot of heaven.Sorry if
that was too graphic like I said human anatomy and functions
don't phase me.So girls can you relate to what I'm saying?

I just finished reading it before the Pope died..it was kind of surreal hearing all the things that were mentioned in this book.I’m really astonded by the controversy that has erupted over the Da Vinci Code.. a book of fiction. My reading tastes fly from one extreme to another..I just finished No Life Guard on Duty..Janice Dickinson’s autobiograpy now I’m reading Tatum O’Neal’s autobiography. Next is Adult Children of Alcoholics(yeah I know out of character here)...Dazedstare I’m a lover of forensics too I read all of Patricia Cornwell’s books I like Tess Garritson too.
Sorry I got the name wrong Dazed you should watch A&E
Cold Case Files and American Justice real life stories.

Starting your period before the age of 13 puts you at high

Ok,
I’m sorry. I know the ramifications may be really severe. Still, I got
a visual of toddlers with goatees, hairy chests with gold chains,
little mustaches. I also thought of little Hasidic Jew toddlers walking

Sin
City was great for the visuals. It seemed very graphic novel-ish. The
story with Mickey Rourke was the best, though I do love Bruce Willis. I
love rosemary. Places tend to run out of it pretty early on, so I try
to buy it as soon as I can. I also bought thyme, oregano,
and chives. I usually buy different mints, but I can never figure
out what to do with it. I can only stand so much mint in my tea. What
do you do with it? Is your bluebird feeder in a very wide open
space? Bluebirds need a very wide, open space to land. A lot of people
with big trees cannot have bluebird feeders. Everytime I hang a
feeder, excluding hummingbird, the squirrels get to it. I hate
squirrels! Like Carrie Bradshaw said, squirrels are
rats with cuter outfits. Gross!
|
I like Bruce Willis too I think he's very sexy would you recommend this movie?
About the mint it will take over your herb garden. I had a friend
that planted it under the outskirts of her deck and evey time
they mowed there was this refreshing mint scent.
When I had my house I had around 3 sets of bluebird babies
each spring/summer.You could go out and open it up and the
momma would be sitting on her babes she'd never move either.
I know I sound like a nerd but I joined the North American
Bluebird Society b/c Bluebirds were reaching extinction due
to natural habitats being destroyed. They just don't like my
apartment habitat even though I'm facing a wooded area and
a somewhat open area.Speaking of squirrels I raised a baby
squirrel that was in a tree that a co-worker's dad cut down.
I got up at 5am and feed her pet milk with a dropper. I bought
a cage and put a big log in for her to climb on.This squirrel
would play like a dog she even had a security blanket and
if she saw me coming towards the cage with readi-whip
she would come to the top so I could spray it in her mouth.
I kept her till the following spring and let her go in the
back yard of a friend in the country who said she would
be in her kitchen and see this squirrel stuck on her screen
door looking for company.

These herbs are supposedly good for the liver Silymarin(milk

Every day you go without a cig adds another day to your life.
I think reading the stats always helps.
The adverse health effects from cigarette smoking account for 440,000
deaths, or nearly 1 of every 5 deaths, each year in the United States.
More deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by all deaths from
human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use,
motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined.
Lung cancer has been the leading cause of death by cancer among women
since 1987, with women's death rate from lung cancer up 600% since 1950.
Men who smoke are more likely to experience impotence
and loss of stamina. Overall, smoking increases the risk of impotence
by about 50% for men in their 30s and 40s.
For women, smoking can cause reduced
fertility. In one study, smokers were more than 3 times more likely
than non-smokers to have taken more than a year to conceive a child. It
was estimated in this study that smoking women were only 72% as fertile
as non-smokers.
If you smoke, you are 2 to 3 times more likely to have a heart attack
than a non-smoker, and much more likely to die from heart disease.
Smokers are also more likely to have strokes, blood clots, and angina.
20 minutes after your last cigarette, your blood pressure and pulse
have returned to normal. 24 hours later, your risk of heart attack is
already lower. After just one year, your risk of heart disease has
dropped to half that of a smoker.
|
|
 |
|
 |
As a smoker, you have increased risk of cancers of the
mouth, bladder, kidneys, pancreas, stomach, liver, colon, and cervix,
as well as an increased risk of developing leukaemia.
After just 12 hours, your body's level of toxic carbon monoxide
declines, and returns to non-smoking levels after 36 hours. When you
stop smoking fewer toxins in the body mean a lower cancer risk.
Smoking also causes peripheral vascular disease causing
narrowing of the arteries of the legs which without treatment
can result in the loss of a limb.

This will be long since I can't explain it any other way.
A patient came in for a mammogram today but she had just had
one done a week ago that was ordered by a different doc than
the one she was now seeing. So the mammo folks brought her
to me since the previous mammo report suggested an ultrasound.
The patient probably wasn't aware that her insurance would not
pay for another mammo plus why radiate her again.
I cannot change an order without a doc's consent so I take it
to the Radiologist so he can decide. He decides to do an ultrasound which I document on the orders.Well I get an
irate call from the patient's doctor wanting to know why
I changed the order that they had talked to the Radiologist
and he told them I was the one who cancelled the mammo
and decided to do the utrasound.I could not believe he did
that he out right lied then laid the blame on me.All I could do
was tell them my side of the story but who do you think they
will believe? Not me.Then the Radiologist comes to me mad
saying he never said that by this time I was so mad I was in
tears and we argued back and forth with him denying everything so I just got up and said I don't need this I'm
leaving.I have another co-worker in ultrasound so I wasn't
just leaving without things being covered.
I just got off the phone with my boss who is behind me all
the way she said this Radiologist is famous for doing this.
I was angry and hurt b/c one the Radiologist lied and two
he did not back me up.I knew I had to leave before I said
something I would regret. And what really sucks is if the
patient's doctor had been following good patient care she
should have asked if this woman had had a previous mammogram of course they just blew that part off.
A Radiologist can change the primary doc's orders if they
feel it isn't appropriate. If he had any doubts he should have
dicussed this with the primary doc that's not my responsibility.
The only good part of this is the patient got what she needed
to have done and that's what this job is all about.. good patient
care. But now I have a bad rep with the primary doc b/c of it.

|
One thing I forgot to mention is never take Tylenol when you
have been drinking alcohol.
You can take enteric coated aspirin if you have stomach problems.
As Lady said any of these things in moderation shouldn't be
harmful and it seems for every good there is bad you just have
to way the risks.I believe Advil is also an NSAID(nonsteroidal
antiiflammatory drug) Tylenol is not.

LoR I've missed you! My mother no doubt is my walking
saviour on earth. She went through so much and still managed
to raise the three of us on her own for many years. She made
sure even though she had to push that we got college educations
and became productive individuals. And she was always right
looking back in retrospect from when I was a know it all
teenager. In my eyes my mother hung the moon.Aside from
my mother my girlfriends have been my other saviours on earth
as well as this site which has helped me immensely since I
joined.

I have "The Pearl" vibrator. It rotates and has these small pearls in
it and also a secondary thingy which vibrates on your clit.
This sounds very similar to the rabbit.Like I said I have girlfriends
that have to use a silver bullet to get off during sex they can't do
it from sex alone.Since I've been on this new thyroid medicine
I've been a horny maniac I even have orgasms in my dreams
those are sweet!

Hmm..Interesting you say that. I am on Synthroid to regulate an underactive thyroid. I have similar maniac tensions and dreams Is it the medication? I have never heard that before. |
Lady I didn’t know you had thyroid problems.I’m taking Levoxyl a generic of Synthroid.I visit a thyroid message board that is very informative people there talk about vivid dreams while on medication. This has been a rollercoaster ride for me I’ve been on PTU for hyper as well. I have Hashimoto’s disease which is a ride between hypo and hyper I know I will eventually have to decide between surgery or radioacitve iodine to kill the thyroid but I’m fighting it right now.In the mean time my world and my hormones have run amuck some days I feel like I’m losing my mind I’m all fumble fingers and have major mind fog.It was so nice to talk to other people and realize I am not all alone just like this place. May I ask what your symptoms are?

Yes,Ihave
an underactive thyroid if I do not stay on the Synthroid. Ihad
gained a lot of weight all of a sudden and was
sluggish. Mygynocologist is actually the one who diagnosed.
I have beenonmeds for about 4 years and have lost the weight, thank
goodness! :) So I’ll blame it on the meds! That’s interesting. I have never heard of that before. If you have surgery or treatment, when will you have to finally give in and go for it? |
With Hashi(an autoimmune disease) the thyroid eventually dies. The thyroid/pituitary and adrenals are all related and they control all hormones. Did you have probs with your period before you found out what was wrong? I never knew they were all related before I did research and how they can effect every aspect of your body from skin, periods to cognitive confusion. When will I give in? I guess when feeling like crap every day and being an emotional basket case finally gets to me or the people around me.

A pillow underneath and the guy leaning forward or a finger

Yep. That’s
why I ended up at the gyno to start with. I had gainedweight with
no periods. I had taken a pregnancy test and it wasnegative so I
figured something was wrong or either it was stressrelated. I usually have irregular or absent periods if I do not take the pill. |

Lady are you doing clinical now and having to deal with some of the asshole docs? Surgeons and orthopods are some of the worst.

I have met some wonderful doctors but have also crossed paths with some who are very cocky. Ido
not hesitate to question orders. I’ll usually go to my
NursingInstructor or Nurse Manager of the unit I am on. If they
cannotanswer, I will go straight to the doctor. Some of them
cannotstand to be questioned, especially by a student. I
readassignments before class and clinical and have no problem
questioningif I don’t think something is right. A lot of them
minimizepatient and family concerns which is irritating to me.
Theydismiss pain and common symptoms. I have seen doctors half
waylisten and then start scribbling out a prescription without
fullylistening. It’s annoying. Some doctors have
beenwonderful. Some actually listen to patients and address
allconcerns, medical and psychological. When working as a
student(outside of clinical) last summer, a few great doctors would
pull me inrooms and allow me to watch procedures and teach as they
go. Those were some of the best experiences I have had thus far. Butyes....some
are assholes and are very hard to deal with. The onlything I know
to do in order to deal with it is speak my peace anddocument what I say
and the response so that I clear my name and willnot be held
accountable if something goes wrong. |
Documentation is everything!!!!! I think some of the best experiences in the line of any medical field is hands on... get down and dirty right in there experience....you cry.. you see death you learn... all the necessary things you learn in school will never prepare you for this.
Edited to add I think you will be a compassionate nurse.
I have to tell this story because it means so much. I was
in the intensive care to do a chest x-ray on a patient
that was on a vent and considered a vegetable. The
nurses were talking about him like he wasn't there saying
things they shouldn't say..I
raised him up to put the cassette behind his back talking to
him the whole time about what I was doing and I saw a
tear running down his face. This broke my heart ..he could
hear what they were saying but he couldn't respond. So
never assume they don't hear. I always talk or try to explain
to a patient what I'm about to do whether I think they
understand or not.Even a blind and deaf patient take their
hand and run it over what you are about to do to them
whether it's a syringe or a cassette they will understand.

recent commercials stand out a bit from what people usuallyexpect.
3 males sitting in a booth at a restaurant. Then it pansto 3
females walking out side by side wearing trendy outfits. Theybring it
down to slow motion as they are walking in and one ofthem winks.
They pan back to the males. Then the pan to the waiterbringing out 3
plates with sizzling meals on them and the males droptheir jaws. When
they pan back to the females, they have a look ofdisgust that the
something else gathers more attention than themselves. Asimilar
one has 3 males in a nightclub setting which they’rediscussing
something. A female in trendy fashion (red dress, maybe?) walks in
door. The males immediately look up towards the door, get up and walk in
that direction. The expected reaction is that thefemale controls the
attention of (and thus hold a power over) themales, but to her
surprise, they jostle right by her saying "Excuse me,pardon me", and
proceed to the place that has the food which holds thereal captivation
of their desire. Refreshing. |
I guess that proves the old saying "the way to a man’s heart is thru his stomach" :-) I’m not referring to your commercials but a lot of commercials now days do make men look like idiots.Like the one where the family is all seated to view the reading of the will and the one guy keeps fast forwarding thru all the parts where she’s saying what she’s leaving them, until the woman behind him slaps him in the head and the funny thing is you’re so into the ridiculousness(is that a real word) of it that you don’t even remember the real purpose of the commercial.

the need to stand up for what they believe in. ThankGod!Imagine
how different world history would be if no oneeverchallenged
anddebated. Greatchanges have been madeand hearts
have beenopened to all kinds of various idealsbecause people
talked--even if itwas in a heated discussion. |
I believe in debate and standing up for what you believe in but in somes cases it’s useless. I also believe in this site or I wouldn’t be here but I don’t feel the need to confess that to folks hell bent on believing o/w. And yes it would be really boring if everyone was the same but I think you can agree to disagree without stooping to name calling or repeated useless jibber jabber.
Edited to add you definitely have a way with words and stating them eloquently Kriss I hope you didn’t take my post the wrong way.
|
No,
I’m not at all offended by your post. I posted what I did
because I was relieved to see some of the young girls, i.e.
Bunny, standing up for what they believe in. I hope that instances like
this will make them stronger and deeper their resolve. I liked the fact
that she investigated the other site. I hope this is indicative of
who she will be as a young woman. I hope she, along with the other
young women, find their strength and stand up for themselves
and their values and beliefs. We learned, especially in the case of
Bunny, that these young women are not shrinking violets who will
take whatever is handed to them. They are demanding respect
and kindness. They are fighting for their fellow sisters. If for no
other reason, I am glad these incidences occurred. Maybe these girls
will learn the same lessons that we had to learn the hard way
through this site. |
Well stated as usual! I do hope lessons will be learned here
and these young people will stand up for what they believe
in in the real world(as opposed to this safe little haven of support)
It's real easy to say things on a message board but much harder
to apply that in real life...hopefully the good advice from experienced members will carry on into the real world.

Throw lemons in your garbage disposal for a fresh scent.
White rings on furniture..rub a little toothpaste or a mixture
os salad oil and salt or mayonnaise.

A tsp of detergent to one qt water will revive wilting cut
flowers.
Keep tulip arrangements fresh by tossing copper pennies
in the water.
Sprinkle lime around your hydrangeas for pink color one
tablet of aluminum sulphate for blue.
Stick a 6 or 8 penny nail next to tomato plants to prevent
cut worms.
Moth balls sprinkled near tomato or fruit plants will keep
squirrels and rabbits away.
Ants will not cross a chalk drawn line.
A tsp of sugar added to soapy lather will remove gardening
stains.
Kitchen
A fresh bay leaf inside your flour will keep bugs away.
Freeze left over chicken or beef stock in ice trays, then
remove and store in plastic bags for future use.
Add a lettuce leaf to a pot of homemade soup to
absorb excess grease.
If you've over salted your soup a slice of raw potato
will remedy the situation.
A few drops of lemon juice added to simmering rice will
keep the grains separate.
Brown sugar won't harden if a slice of apple is placed inside
the container.
Dip bacon in cold water before frying to prevent curling.
To prevent spattering when frying meats sprinkle in a little
salt.
Fresh fish freeze well in a milk carton filled with water.
For tender delicious corn on the cob Southern style
add one half cup milk and one tsp sugar to the boiling
water before dropping the corn in.
A tsp of vinegar in the water used for pie crust will make
it much flakier.
A pinch of baking soda in steeping tea will prevent clouding.
Bright Ideas
Try a popsicle to help stop any swelling on a toddler's
bumped lip.
Sticky chewing gum in your child's hair? Use a piece of cotton
soaked in baby oil,rub over the affected are until gum is
removed.
Dampen your child's shoe strings with a wet cloth before
tying them..they'll stay tied longer.
Bee sting apply a paste of meat tenderizer and water
to stop pain and swelling or tooth paste.
Refrigerate candles before buring they burn more slowly
and evenly.
A piece of chalk in your jewelry box will keep your baubles

doggie odor.
There are more but these helpful hints are from Peggy Rolfes.
It seems vinegar and baking soda are staples you should
always have around.

Chick... Does the cologne ever stain your clothes? Do you use laundry detergent or dish detergent in cut flowers? These
are great tips! I did not know a lot of the gardening tips, so I’m
truly grateful. I’ll try to stop at Home Depot tomorrow and get some
moth balls for my tomato plants. However, since it is snowing here
today, they may not live long enough to even grow anything.
Grrrrr! I spent so much time and money on my plants and flowers and it
may be all ruined this evening. Why the f*ck is it snowing in April?
Dang, it’s nearly May. When will we truly have Spring? I also think I need to go get some chalk. It
was my nephew’s third birthday today. My sis-in-law made corn with
melted cream cheese. It sounded a little strange, but it was
actually very good. I’m going to print these tips and hang them inside my kitchen cupboard for future reference.
|
If you just put a drop or two in a full tank it won't stain your
clothes or you can buy linen water.I love my linen water.
(Naturopathica Geranium Ironing Water Holistic Health)
Use powdered laundry detergent in cut flowers. These hints
came from an old book Why Didn't I Think of That copywright
1977 Memphis Tn there are more and I'll type them another
time.If it's going to freeze tonight throw bed sheets over your
plants to keep the frost off.I don't usually plant until the first
week of May but you're in a different planting zone than me
you should probably wait even later.
Happy Birthday to your nephew.

I
didn’t realize at first that you copied and pasted my message into your
post. I thought, "Wow! She thinks exactly the same way I do about Dr.
Bronner’s." Duh!!! Dr. Bronner’s soap also makes for very
interesting reading. I love it because the mint is so much stronger
than in many products, therefore causing a really lasting
sensation. However, the soap is drying and I cannot use
it on a daily basis. Have you ever tried brushing your teeth
with it or using it in your laundry? I have not, but the label
says it safe to do so. I think it would be weird to have a soapy lather
in my mouth. I use Listerine for that death mint refreshment. I
know it kills everything.
|
No I don't think I could brush my teeth with that but I never
thought about using it in the laundry.I need to get some more
of that I haven't bought it in years.
I use Listerine too but I read that their claim of working as well
as flossing was false but I always floss regardless.

Well he is
trying to blame the no car insurance on me even though I told him two
months ago that I was cancelling the policy and getting a separate
one. I asked him were you making payments for car insurance and
he said no I asked him, then why would you think that you have it if
your not paying for it? That is all he does blame everyone else
for his own stupidity. Now he says he is going to file bankruptcy
so I called my attorney to find out how that would affect me since we
still have the house together and he said that as long as the payments
are made I am technically the reason he is not on the street since thay
would take it away from him if it was just his name on the
mortgage. As far as the papers go right now I think that is on
the bottom of his list of priorities. He is a 27 year old man and
acts like a kid. I can’t believe anyone could be so stupid.

Good move Love cancelling that policy and getting a new one
in your name.Did you know that if he had that wreck while
the insurance was under both your names you would be
responsible as well it wouldn't even matter if you were there
or not.I didn't know you could purchase a car without proof
of insurance. I guess it's different in each state.
I'm concerned about the house being in both your names who
is making the payments? Who is living in the house? Are you
planning to sell it? I'm just concerned b/c I've been thru the
same thing and it was a huge mess and I had an attorney
that was useless.I got a female attorney b/c I thought she
would be sympathetic with the husband cheating aspect
of it...no such luck she was horrible.I had already invested
$1000 in retainer fees so I was stuck b/c I couldn't afford
to get another attorney.
Your ex is going to have bills out the waazoo over
this..I know insurance is expensive but it's so important
you never know what's going to happen not to mention
attorney fees if he gets a DUI.
I try not to wish bad things on those who have done me
wrong. It may come back on me tenfold..I'm superstitious :-) besides those who treat others wrong
will eventually have it come back to bite them in the ass
sometimes it takes a long time sometimes it's quick but
it will happen so there's no need to get revenge not that you
have.. you have been the perfect lady Love.

That is so true about sex first before really getting to know
someone and your shared values and interests. You may have
rock your world sex then discover you aren't compatible in
any other aspects of a relationship on the flip side you may
be great companions and discover you have no chemistry

Speaking from been there and done that the previous advice
is well given. Please don't rush into another marriage..this high this rush of affection and attention may not last.I'm sure
you're having doubts about your future with him.It is likely
that it may happen again it happened to me and I'm not going to
sugarcoat things. The man I cheated with cheated on me three
years later. The thing to look for is TRUE remorse... the
fact that you feel so bad for what you did that you'll never do
it again. And confess to your ex tell him you are sorry for
what you did no matter why you did it...get it off your chest
and out there o/w the guilt will eat you alive if you have any
conscious at all.

they realize that the women is gone for good and is not coming
back. Safety first! Congrats, good luck and keep us posted! |
I’m
not quite sure how it works either but the way I was informed is that
since he never got an attorney that was the main reason he was in
default. The second thing is that the first papers I gave him
that he signed were called the appearence or summons papers.
Since I served him he waved his rights to getting served and since he
signed he agrees with the divorce the reason it is granted is because
he is in default, I guess kind of like sports the other team
doesn’t show up so you win by default. Whatever the reasoning it
worked to my advantage. By this time next week I will hopefully
be a single woman again.

Oh Chick! I think you will love it! If
I remember correctly, he was a writer for "Sex and the City" and one
day, the crew was working on a new episode. A women was in there
talking about a date she had. All of the other women were making
exuses about why this man behaved the way he did. Greg piped in
and said, "He’s just not that into you," and everyone was shocked at
his blunt honesty. This led to a discussion and there is an
episode based on it. I believe Miranda was the one having a man
analyzed by the other women. So, he has basically taken
what most men think but are afraid to tell you and written it for us to
read. He shows how complicated we make such simple things. It’s a really great read and I’m sure you will enjoy it!

Well then it's on my list!

What do you mean?

Some kind of reform so the younger generation that's been
paying SS taxes all these years actually has something at
retirement.

I just caught the end of it but he was proposing that money normally deducted for SS goes into a retirement fund that will be there when you retire.Much like a 401K but mandatory.
I personally think that's a great idea whether it gets passed
or not is another.

I was looking at the description for tonight’s episode. It appears I have a connection to tonight’s episode. When I
was in college, I was very, very naive. I didn’t lose my virginity
until after I graduated. My friends were all pretty much in the
same boat as I was, so we didn’t have a great collective
knowledge about men. Anywhoooo.....When I was a sophmore, I
was at a frat party. There was a guy there who had recently
graduated. He pursued and pursued me all night long. He got down
on his knees and begged me to go out with him. I
finally gave him my phone number. He called and we set up a night for
our date. He came to pick me up and he drove me back to his apt. He
showed me some of his artwork and a book he had illustrated. Then he
took my hand and led me to the bedroom. we made out on his bed. when he
tried to go further, I put the kibosh on it. He then took me back out
into the living room and then made a phone call. He turned on the
kitchen and bathroom faucets as he talked on the phone. Aprroximately
20 minutes later, he came out and said he was going to drive me back to
my dorm. My friends and I were so naive that we couldn’t
figure out what was going on. I called him a couple of times after that
night, but of course, he never called me back. Well.....now he
is a famous artist. He is also married. He is going to be on The
Apprentice tonight. I have had to see him in magazines and the
newspaper since that night. Each time I see his pic, my skin
crawls. I feel stupid all over again. I’m going to
watch the show tonight. I wonder how I’ll feel. I wonder how
many other girls who experienced the same exact thing I did with him
will watch it and feel as I do.

What a jerk to call someone else while you're there and talk
for 20 minutes!!!Bless your heart I'm glad you didn't give in
to this serial seducer.Don't feel stupid when you see him feel
glad that you didn't succumb.

I get so outraged at one of my guy friends!!! He is 24
and I am 23. He is on this desperate search for a wife- not a
friend, girlfriend, but a wife. Fine-good for him. What
aggravates me is that he is so critical of the fact that I am content
being single. I don’t ever want to feel that I NEED a man in my
life to complete me or make me happy. I don’t spend hours every
day fantasizing about a husband, 10,000 babies and a picket
fence. I am living my life doing the best that I can with what I
have been given. There are things I want to accomplish before
settling down anyway. I have my own hopes and dreams. He
asked how I can be content and not care. Then he went on to say
that all I have to think about is Nursing and I should want other
things. WHAT? He does not know me at all. I told him that I
have passions and I began to talk about the laws and policies that need
to be changed, social injustices, inhumanity, places I want to travel,
etc. My point to him was that it would be nice to have
someone to share my life with, but if I never find that, then I will
not feel any less valuable as a person and I will get just as much out
of life as a single woman as I would a married woman. It may turn
out differently being single than married, but that’s okay too. He
said that he has an emtpy place inside of him, yada yada and I told him
to fill it up with something other than a person. We
just completely disagree on this. Ok...better now. I had to
vent all of that frustration. Do y’all feel that I am wrong in my
thoughts and feelings on this issue? What do y’all think about
it? Am I being too closed minded? Am I being a feminist or
is it good to feel the way I do?

Honey you are 23 you have the world at your feet.I don't mean
to sound like Chris Farley's motivational speaker but grab the
world by your hands and put it in your pocket.Go out there
pursue your education you have plenty of time for children and
marriage down the road if you so choose.
Your friend has a different perspective who cares? He shouldn't
try to push his beliefs on you.The traditional beliefs of getting
married young and having a bunch of kids is antiquated we don't
all feel this way.
I can never stress enough to young women...get your
education first and foremost...make your foundation to
stand on your own.

this
thread is great. It depends on how a man displays it. If he
farts and I barely know him and he starts being loud about it(verbally
laughing and rating and such) it can be a real turnoff. But if I
have been around him it may be funny if he did itonce in a while... but
I could never get used to the rating thing.

I
made this post quite a while back...My so called boyfriend farted while
I was laying in his lap..Can you believe that?? We weren’t playing
around or anything and then he just let it out no warning or
nothing... I was offended by this and told him that he has no respect for me and all he could do is laugh as if I found it funny...
|
I guess farts are different in Canada...(just kidding) men just
don't think the same when it comes to farting and belching.
Women will pinch off a fart until they're about to explode
rather than let it go in front of someone.I was out on a first
date with this guy and he just belched randomly...I thought
how rude..that's just some men they prefer to let it out than
suffer.

Well,
the thing is---I was stupid. I actually believed this guy liked me. I
had only a little experience with men at the time--I think I
was 19--and I didn’t know that there are guys out there who would be
willing to say or do anything just for sex. I learned from the experience and still think about it from time to time.
|
I don't equate you with stupid...naive and gullible sounds better.
And we've probably all been naive and gullible.
