Yes, it is my sister that married to that douche bag.  She does not know his email address.  He had gone out and purchased a new laptop and had it delivered to his place of business.  When the statement came to the house my sister opened it and confronted him.  He said the laptop was purchased on behalf of the company he works for, and he would be reimbursed.  Bullshit.  The next day he opened a new bank account, and is now making monthly payments to the electronics store himself. 

Of course, with a new laptop, one must sign up for internet access.  And that‘s exactly what he did.  He‘s probably already hit every skank site on the web. You might be wondering how the schmuck is paying for all of this.....

He is a salaried employee, therefore, is not entitled to overtime pay.  He works long hours.  Has for years.  I guess he‘s sick and tired of giving over his entire paycheck to my sister to keep a roof over his bald head, and food in his gut.

What‘s a guy to do?!  Well, get a second job and have those paychecks directly deposited into his new account!  And forget to tell my sister!  Leave her with the impression he‘s still working late at his first job.  When my sister found out, he told her that he needs the extra money to get his Visa bills under control.  Right.  He‘s still using his Visa card, and just bought himself a new digital camera.

There is no way he could trace my calls as they are re-routed through a long distance company.  If he were to call the number that shows on his call display, he would get nothing but a dial tone.

My sister owns both vehicles and the insurance is paid by her.  He is the second driver, therefore, the insurance can be taken off of the vehicle he drives without penalty.  My sis has also removed the plates from that car.  Try escorting a date home on a bus.  Mmmmm.....classy.  But thanks for watching my ass.  One can never be too careful with a hose bag.

Last year, he picked up matching cell phones: one for my sister, and one for him.  She has just discovered that he now has another cell phone (found it in his pocket) and didn‘t bother to give her the number.  What guy needs 2 cell phones?  He works in a kitchen!  If anyone wants that number, I‘d be happy to post it!

He hasn‘t got a pot to piss in.  A retainer is at least 2 grand.  I wonder if he‘d go that far.  Would a lawyer take on a case like this pro bono?

And with all the evidence my sister has got on his cheating, gambling, etc. the judge would likely say that he deserves everything he gets.

I‘m sure he‘d much rather spend his money on membership fees to internet dating sites, gambling, and new electronic toys, and he‘s afraid of me.

Stop investing any money into the house.  Pay the mortgage and utilities and that‘s it.  If you have to close up the pool, do it.  No more restaurants, pizza on Friday nites, etc.  Save every dime you get.  If you have family nearby, and you trust a family member, get them to open up a bank account for you in your family members name.  He can‘t touch what he doesn‘t have access to.

If you do decide to go the divorce route, you might get lucky to have the Judge hear your custody and support case after his obligation to his other child is up.  More money for you!

I know it‘s hard, but keep your chin up.  You are not a worthless human being.  You are a very special person that just happens to be getting shit upon right now.

Geeze, what a load for you to have to deal with at this time in your life.  Take a deep breath and calm down.

This is what I would do:

First, believe your husband.  He‘s afraid of being taken to the cleaners by this woman.  You and your husband should only demand proof of paternity if and when this woman asks for financial assistance.  Until then, you must welcome this boy into the family that your husband and you have built.  If you do not do this, and it turns out that your husband is indeed the father, you will have scarred this boy for the rest of his life by shunning him.  DO NOT DO THAT.  This is a very trying time for this young lad and he needs all the emotional support he can get.  This can be done without admitting paternity.  Perhaps you and your husband should speak with an attorney on the best way to include this boy into your lives. 

You have to ask yourself why would this woman choose this particular time to inform her son of his fathers existence?  I suspect that something has happened in her life to upset the apple-cart.  Or perhaps it‘s just plain jealousy.  She‘s worked hard for the past 14 years raising this boy alone with no help from any "father".  That‘s her tough cookies, she could‘ve opened her mouth sooner.

As for the pics, ask to see them (in a polite way).  Tell his mother that you and your husband really want to get to know this child, and welcome him as a part of your family.  You might be surprised at how quickly this woman changes her mind!

Don‘t fight with your husband over this.  It‘s out of his control, and yours for that matter, that‘s why he‘s angry.  Men need to "fix" things, and they hate it when they can‘t.  Support each other.  If he‘s lying to you, it‘s only because he‘s afraid you‘ll leave him for a mistake he made before he met you.  You should be holding hands and helping each other cope with this.  Do that, and your marriage will be that much stronger.

As for you, ask your husband for his support.  If you have family close by, ask for their support too.  This is nothing to be embarrassed about.  Talk to your physician.  You need to tap any and all resources available to you and your family to get through these trying times.

I would grab his face, kiss him, stare into his eyes and say: "We‘ll find a way to get through this, AS A TEAM."

Most importantly, relax and keep yourself healthy.  He might not be the father.

You know what you could do?

Call a real estate agent and ask for an over the phone evaluation of the property.  Make sure that the agent knows that they are NOT to make a home visit.

Explain that there is an impending divorce, so discretion is a must.  You should also be given a list of neighborhood properties that have sold in the last 6 months.  That way, you‘ll at least have a ball park figure of the property‘s worth.  Any idea how much is remaining on the mortgage?  Purchase price should be a matter of public record and once you have that info, it‘s easy to calculate how much you are entitled to.

As for your share, if this is the house you moved into after the marriage, it‘s now marital property and the fair market value should be divided 50/50.  That‘s the way it is up here, anyway.  Anything less is grossly unfair.  I‘d ask the attorney to double check that one.

Sign the lease, load the moving van, vacate the house, and serve the papers on your husband.  In that order, and on the same day.

He made you feel loved and beautiful.

You‘ve discovered that there is no way in hell that he‘s going to give up anybody.

You got burned in this relationship, deservedly or not, it makes no difference to me.  However, you must now ask yourself what is lacking in your life to make such a self destructive and irresponsible decision.  There has to be something missing, maybe self-esteem?  The need for a "knight-in-shining-armor"?  The glamor of a more mature man?  You talked yourself into believing a fairy tale.

It is the law that an alcoholic mother be able to continue to drink and carry a pregnancy to term, unless ordered into rehab by a Judge if she is deemed to be an ‘unfit‘ mother.  To obtain a judgment against such a woman would be an exercise in futility, to say the least.

Provisions are made that any children borne to alcoholic mothers be cared for by the state if she (or her family members) is (are) unable to do so.  Unfortunately, most state or provincial budgets are sorely lacking in such funds to carry these disadvantaged children into self-sufficient adulthood.

There are no partial-birth abortions in Canada.  A woman in this country has until the 12th week of pregnancy to decide to abort or carry to term.  

It is my personal opinion that if a woman chooses to terminate a pregnancy, she has made a choice that best reflects her best interests.  If she finds herself at a point in her life where bringing a child into the world would not be in the best interests of said child, she is the only one that can make that decision.

IMO, Busty‘s response to your questioning is typical of a woman that has had to make such a decision. 

A man (or boy) facing the reality of impending parenthood would welcome the thought of his girlfriend making the decision to terminate the pregnancy.  Unfortunately, most girls of Busty‘s age (14) had no support from her "pollinator", and probably thought that her parents would kill her if she told them that she was in trouble.  After all, young girls are always taught DON‘T COME HOME PREGNANT. 

Remember, she had to make this choice at the tender age of 14.

It is typical of women of her experience to take such a harsh stance with alcoholic women who, in Busty‘s eyes, have the choice to quit drinking, take care of themselves, and enjoy a healthy baby.  Busty didn‘t have that choice.

To develop this level of alcohol tolerance, one would have to drink heavily (more than 40 a week) for a minimum of 10 years.  Do you know of any woman that fits this criteria?

Is it possible that the American media is trying to pass off the ‘pretty‘ side of the Falls as their own?  If this is the case, there are geographical textbooks being distributed in third world countries that must be corrected.
