"Guy" and I had been dating since Sept. 04, We got engaged on Dec. 05, found out I was pregnant in Jan of 06. We met at work, and we worked together up until July 06' but this story takes place before he found a new job. Okay, so when we first started dating he had mentioned that a female friend Cyndi (he once secretly crushed on) from work was supposed to have plans with him and that he blew her off to hang out with me. It was platonic, but she still seemed a little "upset" when she first seen us together. Well, "Cyndi" was friends with and worked beside of "Jenn", who was "Guys" really close friend, her husband and "Guy" had worked togther and were also friends. Well "Guy" spent a lot of time during slow hours at work talking to Jenn, but when Jenn left for maternity leave Guy continued to go to where Jenn's machine was and talk to "Cyndi". I didn't like it, but he assured me they were friends.
Well around June began to really suspect something, I mean everytime I turned around there was Guy talking to Cyndi. ALONE! When I would bring it up he would get angry and tell me it was nothing, and that I was not going to tell him who he could be friends with. I would drop it, but my gut feeling was so strong that I didn't just forget about it.
I was put on 6 hr days, and I would leave work around the time Guy had his afternoon break, I had asked him a thousand times if she was spending break with him and he said no. Well one day I sort of got side tracked, and was leaving a few min. later than usual, and I just happen to look where Guy spent his break at, and yes she was there, she wasn't alone with him, but she was there. When I mentioned this he would freak. Well he was in the process of getting a new job, so I was determined I would just let it go, she would be far from him soon enough. Only it was getting worse they were together every time I turned around at work, my co-workers were even commenting on it.
I began noticing that when he was on the computer he would lock the door, and take a few min. to open it when I knocked. So I made him leave it open. I walked in one day and saw a screen name Cyndihometown@ her email add. com. He immediately exited the screen, I asked why didn't you let me read that, he said "I don't know:" I said is that Cyndi from work, he said no, I don't even know this girl, she just sends me messages at times, nothing out of the ordinary-just small talk. So I let it go.
While talking to another coworker I tell her about the whole screen name issue, she informs me that the Cyndi he is friends with lives in that exact hometown used by the supposedly unknown woman. I then ask a male friend if he ever IMs anyone from work and he says yeah, I ask who is Cyndihometown he says oh thats Cyndi. Im pissed. I tell my "fiance" Guy that if hes gonna lie he better make sure its not going be found out, and explain that I know he's been talking to her. He swears the only reason he has her IM is because he wants to stay in touch with his friends when he leaves the job. So I sort of just drop it. A few days go by, he is now at his new place of employment. The computer is acting funny so I start looking through stuff to see if we have possibly downloaded anything. I stumble onto his history folder, I never knew it existed, and apparently neither did he. I find a conversation they had. Heres justa bit of what I read. We were meant to be together, I bet you can't keep "up" with me. I will have to leave for work a few hours early sometime. And my fav....Donna will kill me! NO she wont, she wont do anything. Oh I wanted to scream, but his parents were there at the time, so I printed out the whole thing and handed it to him when he got home from work that night. He was so mortified he literally got sick.
Even though they never got "physical" it still made me sick, I have to wonder if he just couldn't go through with it or if he just got busted before he had a chance. I guess I'll never know!!!!!!!!
