Getting Back At The Man
June 2, 2005
He never called you. He cheated on you. He stood you up. He lied to you.
Whatever he did, you are bitter and you want revenge.
Thoughts of ways you can ruin his life creep into your head.
You could start a rumor that he sleeps with a teddy bear. You could go on a date with his best friend. You could stand on his apartment building a scream out what a jerk he is. You could send out a mass e-mail to every girl in his town explaining why they should never date him.
Or you could visit www.womansavers.com and tell women - and men - everywhere just what a jerk he is.
The site, which was launched in 2002, holds a database of men across the country and ranks them in things like hygiene, after-sex habits and work ethic.
There's also a comment section where you can spill all his dirty secrets, or just tell people why you think he sucks.
You put in his first, middle and last name, his birthday, his height, and hair color.
Not only is it free, but completely anonymous. There is no way he, or anyone, could track down who posted the dirt.
And that's just the way the site's owner wants to keep it.
Because of threats and the nature of her site, she keeps her identity secret and goes by the name Little Miss WomanSaver.
She said keeping things anonymous prevents libel suits of any kind. She erases her server weekly.
And if a guy gets mad, there is only one thing he can do about it: Pay $25 to have the offending post removed.
"I didn't want to ruin someone's life. So, they have the option to pay $25 and have it deleted," she said. "But, I can't control if you are player and a bunch of women post things about you. That is just a karma thing."
She said she gets about four removal requests a day.
Little Miss WomanSaver said men can also go on and post good things about themselves. But it usually pretty obvious when they do.
"I can tell because they usually rank themselves very high in bed," she said. "Women write something more along the lines of 'This guy has two illegitimate children and is unemployed.'"
Not only does she give you the chance to tell the world what an idiot your ex is, but the site has message boards with advice, chat, and tons of resources on how to catch a cheating man.
"I am just like a medium and my site is like a blank sheet of paper," Little Miss WomanSaver said.
She decided to start the site when she kept hearing stories about men being jerks.
"Everywhere I turned there were women having bad experiences," she said.
"And so many time I was dating someone I wished I could have spoken to ex-wives or girlfriends."
She was living in New York City at the time and said, "After hearing so many people bitching about men, it was like lightening struck me."
She has been working hard on the site for a year and a half and there are already more than 14,000 men listed in the database.
"It isn't a hate site," she said. "It is a database and a resource for women."
It also allows them to do something not so drastic when a man hurts them, she said.
"It is something better than going out and slashing his tires," she said. "It makes them feel good and gives them a way to express their bitterness and hate."
She has heard from men asking why there is no site where they can write about women.
"A site like that would be all sexually oriented," she said. "They would have questions like are her boobs real or fake and things of that sort. That is the difference between men and women."
