How can you trust again after being let down, used, abused, put down, deceived, betrayed and abandoned by the very one that promised you he would love and cherish you , be faithful and share his world with you? Now, when you think about starting to trust love again, your heart recoils in the pain and fear of being betrayed and abused by love. The wounds are still so raw and exposed that you are afraid to let love in. You have built a stone wall around your heart for now, for protection, and will keep it there for as long as you need to, until you feel healed and ready to slowly let the stones fall, one by one to the ground and let the love of a man enter your heart once again. For now, you can learn to love yourself and to love others who are needing and deserving of your unconditional love, such as your children, friends and family, for they are your healing strength and salvation and you thank God for them every day!
