I guess cucumber slices aren't cutting it, eh?
The Body Shop used to make a great eye gel, but I don't know if they still carry it.
I have the dark circles under the eyes- no puffiness except for when I cry incessantly.
Do you eat a lot of salt? I heard this contributes to eye puffiness.

You're right about the salt. It may be one of the reasons for puffiness but I don't use too much salt at home. The problem is that at lunch time I eat at restaurants and you know, we have no control on the amount of salt used.
For a long time I don't use refined salt on food as well. I use instead what is called "the flower of the salt", the first particles that come to the water's surface during the process of crystallization, always in a small amount not only because of it but also because it's better to health.
I know the gel from Body Shop. I've used it in the past, it refreshes the eye area. I think they still carry it.
For dark circles there is a fantastic gel, not very expensive called Innoxa. It's great.
Thanks

I thought of another tip that a friend told me about years ago. She said her ex-mother-in-law used to use Preparation H on her neck and still had a perfect neck well into her seventies. I don't remember to use it every night, but when I do remember, the next morning it does look better.

Preparation H? I never heard about it. Maybe one day I will try.
I found out one line of very good products for face, eyes and body. It's called "Méthode Jeanne Piaubert" and I can tell this works. They have an eye gel "Irilys" that perhaps it's the best I've ever used. The gel works on dark circles and puffy eyes. It's a relaxing day gel and I notice my eyes are not so puffy. It seems it has some invisible glittering particles reflecting the light and they look too much better. There is also an eye mask. It's a must!
For the face they have an anti-pollution and anti stress, moisturising day fluid or cream, depending if the skin is oily or dry called "Citizen Care". The skin won't shine. It will look maté (maybe bad spell).
For body I use Dove products. Deodorant, gel bath and cream. The gel bath is recomended by doctors.

I like Dove products. Their original scent bar soap is my favorite scent in soap. Unfortunately, they don't have the same scent in their shower gels. I also use their deodorant. I had a bad allergic reaction to another product and Dove saved me from days and nights of terrible armpit itching. :)
Preparation H is a product for hemorrhiods. It has been suggested for years in the U.S. as an under eyecream. I've never had a hemorrhoid and I don't really want to know too much about them, but apparently Preparation H shrinks them. It supposedly does the same for under the eye and the neck. It tightens those areas, thus making them younger looking.
I never heard of the line you suggested. I wonder if it is available in the U.S.

Just a tip I got from my gyne..he said to use Ivory soap on

Do you mean bags under the eyes?
If so, I found the greatest gel I have ever used. It's called "Irilys" from Méthode Jeanne Piaubert.
There's also a night mask to be used daily, during the first 20 days. After that period, once a week it's enough.
It doesn't do miracles but it helps a lot.

OMG! Why am I just now finding this thread? LOL! I love it.
I didn't know that about the Summer's Eve stuff. That's what I use. Did he say anything about FDS?
I have a question: Does anyone know of anything that helps get rid of
or at least reduce the appearance of cellulite? Something that isn't
expensive and actually works? I have been drinking about 32 oz. of
water everyday for the past year or so and I've noticed that helped a
little, but I still have a long ways to go. I thought if I could find
some sort of product, it might speed things up a bit.
Oh and I am the QUEEN of hair care products. I have really coarse hair
(I'm bi-racial - half white/half black) so I have to be really careful
what I put on it. The best thing that has ever been invented as far as
hair goes is Garnier Fructis. I use the Sleek & Shine for frizzy,
dry hair. It makes even MY hair feel silky and smooth. I would
recommend it to anyone who has, what my mom calls, BAD hair. :)

i am a big fan of micro-dermabrasion. (any kind) it makes my skin so smooth. i also love salt scrub for the body. i just love exfoliating!
for my face i like avon‘s clinical and anew ultimate. i also like oil of olay regenerist.
i like citre shine for shine, and pantene shampoo and conditioner.

Sloughing off the dead cells is one of the best things you can do for your skin... it lets the color from your blood glow through your skin, not be clouded by dead (opaque) cells. Something to help it along is to use an Alpha Hydroxyl Acid (AHA) product. The brand with the highest concentration (outside a dermotologist) is Alpha Hydrox, at CVS and other discount stores in bright red boxes. I buy the Treatment Cream, and use it at night. Then during the day I use moisturizer. A male friend of mine who is a professional photographer said "your skin looks it‘s been Photoshopped!" (retouching software). I like to find inexpensive, effective solutions. Dollar Tree (with thousands of locations, go to www.dollartree.com for the ones nearest your zip) were selling an exfoliating glove for a while. Maybe still. The glove looks kind of like stretchy Scotchbrite, but in pastel colors. Use it on your face and your body - it does a great job on the soles of your feet after the skin has softened a bit. If not there, check the discount drug stores (Walgreen‘s, CVS, RiteAid, etc.) Another idea from Dollar Tree is to buy Lander Baby Bath, which is gentle and contains moisturizing agents - $1 for 16 oz.! Then get a bottle of any hand wash or shampoo or shower gel which has a scent you like. Mix them about half and half, depending on how much fragrance you like - you then have almost a quart of softening body wash for $2! And don‘t forget to use the glove with it... Next idea was given to me riding the bus to work one day years ago. Melaleuca is the botanical also called Tea Tree Oil. It is a sebum emulsifier, which means that it dissolves the hardened oils in hair follicles and pores that can lead to blemishes and increased oil production in neighboring pores. So buy Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo (or the brand name Melaleuca sold through reps like Amway) and use it to wash your face (and shoulders, if they get oily or break out). I use it on my hair every other wash because it stops my scalp from itching so much when I sweat. Again, don‘t forget to use the glove..! An extensive study on cellulite treatments was recently published/broadcast. It included wrap treatments, infrared/ultrasonic treatments, creams, etc. Nothing worked, because cellulite is a result of fat residing between two components of the skin and literally breaking the fibers which hold the two together, therefore allowing a "bump" of fat to rise unchecked where the connections are broken. The only answer is to reduce your body‘s percentage of fat by exercise, even if you don‘t lose pounds it will improve the cellulite and your heart will thank you. Sorry, I too wish there was something easy - even if it was costly!

Awwww, that sucks. I exercise a little. Probably not as much as I
should though. I‘m one of those "pear" shaped women. I have practically
no upper body fat. It‘s all in the hips and butt. And they say that‘s
the hardest kind of fat to get rid of. Of course! *rolls eyes*

The above statement seems to be contradictory.
The situation is very critical and need an experienced campaigner to resolve it The best site it is.
