That is my ex-husband.
You know, there are several forms of abuse out there. My ex would belittle me in some way. He eventually took away all of my confidence and made me feel I was not good enough and a failure. All the while telling me what an amazing, driven, ambitious, individual that he was. No, make that IS. No one can say as many nice things about Rob as HE can. And even now, I find my day ruined after speaking to him. I now never share an opinion with him about anything. He goes out of his way to tell me what a loser I am.
Now, I rarely even answer the phone when he calls. I just hand it off to one of my daughters. I only call him when I absolutely have to. The less I talk to him, the better off I am. And you know the best way to handle a bully? Ignore them. It takes their power away!
