Against Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Conference |
| This
conference will address topics and issues associated with family
violence and domestic violence, and will aid participants from all
disciplines to achieve a highter level of recognition and service
delivery in these cases. This conference is sponsored by: Sacred Heart
Center/Women‘s Shelter, Eagle Butte, SD; the South Dakota Coalition
Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault; the Office for Victims of
Crime; United States Department of Justice; and is endorsed by the SD
Dept. of Criminal Investigation, and the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law
Enforcement, Eagle Butte, SD.
Registration: Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk in
registrations will be accepted on Sunday, October 1 from 5pm-7pm, and
on Monday, October 2, 7:30 am -9:00am at the Ramkota Rivercenter in
Pierre, SD, based on available seating. Pre-registered attendees can
pick up their conference packets and sign in during these times as
well.
Registration fees: There is a $50.00 registraion fee per participant.
Make the checks payable to the Sacted Heart Center and mail along with
the registration form to: PO Box 2000, Eagle Butte, SD 57625. PLEASE
NOTE: if ther is more than one person attending from your agency,
please make sure their names are included on the registration form.
Lodging:
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Ramkota Rivercenter hotel in
Pierre at the Federal rate of $60.00 per night. when you make your
reservations be sure to tell them you are attending the Freedom from
Violence conference in order to receive the federal rate. Please call
the Ramkota Rivercenter hotel, Pierre SD @ 605-224-6877, or you may
also e-mail them at reservations@pierreramkota.com Meals: Lunch will be
provided on Monday, October 2, however all other meals are the
responsibility of the participants. |
