I tried to stay with him even though he beat me. He would always apologize afterward. The cuts and bruises would heal and I felt loved when he would hold me. He would say that he would never do it again. And then he did.
I finally had enough. I called the police and had him arrested. Now that he‘s with his family and not with me, he makes me suffer.He stalks me. He shows up wherever I am. He got me fired from my job. I thought that he would be different because he‘s Italian. I thought wrong. Very wrong.
I am a black woman in a very volatile situation. I am not able to focus on anything without his name echoing in my head. I have tried therapy, to no avail.
