Hi
all. My name is Maggie. I‘m working on a television documentary for one of Canada‘s two
largest English television networks. I have spent the better part of today
looking at various chatrooms, all of which are full of spam and/or are
populated by nutbars. I tripped over this one and it appears to be full
of good, sincere people, so I apologize in advance if I‘m contaminating your
environment. If someone asks me to get out, I will....with apologies. What
I‘m looking for are "first-person" stories. Stories from people
that have an first-hand experience "spying" on someone or being spied
upon. For instance, spying on your spouse/partner, your kids, your
friend(s). Teens spying on parents, people spying on co-workers. What do they
use, how do they do it, what it their motivation, where do they learn
"how"? Have you ever spied or been spied on? Do you know anyone? Are
you aware of any former law enforcement folks who now train lay people to spy
on others? If you think you know anything at all or have any contacts who might
be willing to talk to me for research purposes, I would love to hear from
you. Anonymity will, of course, be maintained. If we want to take
this further - if we would lik to invite you to tell your story on camera, that
will be negotiated separately and I would, of course, provide references that
you could check prior to our communicating outside of this site.I‘ll try to
respond to all posts as quickly as possible. Even if you think your info is not
relevant, you might be surprised. Please post any thoughts, ideas, contacts,
anything at all. Many thanks in advance for any help and apologies again if
anyone thinks I‘m invading or anything.
