I am a survivor of Domestic Violence and looking for Justice. My abuser is free to possibly harm myself  and others again. I would like to make a stand to help show that Domestic Violence is a serious crime and should not be tolerated. I strongly believe that it not only affects "those abused, but witnesses, family members, coworkers, friends, and the community at large." Letting a case of Domestic Violence go only enables the abuser another chance to hurt somebody and do possibly more damage than he or she had done the first time.  They get the feeling they can get away with their actions and because of that they do not change.

The law is supposed to protect us, to help every individual feel as though they have a sense of safety and security. But for some reason the law has been doing every thing but ensuring safety.  Speaking on behalf of myself and other Domestic Violence survivors we say this because we are forced to live in fear.

Being a survivor is hard. It is a blessing to be alive and not be “stuck” with our abusers but at the same time our abusers are still free to torment us and possibly come after us and others. Our abusers need to be charged with what they deserve. The cycle needs to be broken and it needs to start now. Domestic Abuse should not be tolerated in any way, shape or form.

 Please help me obtain justice and make a stand for every Domestic Violence victim and survivor out there.
