Tell her to stop or you will leave, then do it. Remind her that leaving will bring irreparable harm to the children and your marriage, she can never get history back and she will be responsible for this. Then let her choose. She is the same as any male philanderer but wants to portray herself as honorable because she is in the open about it. Wrong-o! Emailing a male friend occasionally or going out as couples can be quite innocent. It‘s impossible for anyone to never have acquaintances or friends of the opposite sex, they are half the population. But private meetings at bars while you babysit is not friendship, that‘s fooling around in plain view. Your spinelessness is just making you look worse. Invite her to counselling. If she won‘t go, go yourself while she babysits. Wrap your head around leaving, then do it if she does not change.
