Depends on SOOOO many things. Are we talking about a night out? or are we being more general?
What excites me?
When someone had listend and remembered something I liked or really wanted to do. Then set things in motion to DO that thing with me. It can be something simple or something a bit more elaobrate.
Going out to see stand-up and laughing our butts off.
Take me to a Drive In. Specially if the movie is ok as well :) But let‘s face it - the movie is the least of the experience.
Someone who have the same hobbies as myself.
Leaving a cute/hot/sweet note some where that I will hopefully find later that day and give me a good laugh or smile on my face.
NOT asking me what I want for my birthday but still managing to pick out the best present ever :)
Uh and a good ASS - man I‘m a sucker for those.
Details Details!

I think this is about as simple and truthful as you can get.
As a guy who isn‘t a bad boy, I‘d love for the things the other women here said to be true. Things like compassion, caring, good sense of humor, and all the other nice things.
But in my experience, those things have been a death kiss to a nice guy.
Now as I get older, I think the nice guy qualities are what women really want, which is why I will date women my age. They have had enough of the bad boy jerks.
