I‘d been meaning to get round to it for sometime, i used to be very flexable when i was younger due to sport but these days i haven‘t done much so i am not very flexable anymore. I just feel stiff and uneasy throughout the day and getting out of bed when i‘m comfy is much more difficult than it used to be.
I figured Yoga would be the perfect thing. I‘m not so into the spiritual side of it but i do appreciate the mental benefits of chilling out with relaxing stretches. Though i didn‘t really want to jump into it and attend a class no doubt filled with young flexable women whilst i can hardly touch my toes. So i went out and bought a book/dvd set. As i said, i‘ve had some previous experience with flexability training so i figured i could pick it up. The one i bought was called ‘Simply Yoga‘ by Yolanda Pettinato. Looking through it, it appears very basic and the dvd (30 minutes long) takes you through a basic program from start to finish. There‘s nothing difficult in it at all, i‘m sure anyone could do the positions included, they seem quite natural and there‘s no tying yourself in knots.
I‘ve been doing it daily, sometimes every other day, for a couple of weeks now. It‘s brilliant. So nice to take some time to yourself to chill out and of course there are the physical benefits. After going through it in the morning when i wake up i notice that i have a lot more energy in the day, i don‘t ache as much, and i have a general feeling of contentment from doing something productive. Worth getting up 30 minutes earlier. I intend to talk to my girlfriend about me attending a proper class, i would guess she‘d probably feel a bit funny about me attending a class that is probably full of women, but i‘m sure she‘ll be ok with it once i put her mind at rest. I‘ll invite her too of course, though i‘m not sure it‘ll really be her thing.
I recommend it to everyone. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

I love yoga, do it everyday, always an hour, most times 90mins. Hubby and I took a year of classes, all women..didn‘t bother me or him or them. I do Kate Potter‘s Namaste its a flow series, hatha yoga. She talks you through the moves, scenery of Cananda, breathtakingly beautiful. Beautiful music. I love the fluid movement of it all. Some exercises just fit your body type, know what I mean? Yoga fits me... Are you a runner? I love the treadmill! Four miles a day, sometimes more.

when I was younger I took a couple of classes, then got away from it. I started back up in April of this year , & I haven‘t missed a class since, I love it wish I would of never stopped.
I"ve told all my friends that its the best thing I‘ve done for myself in the last 20 years, I recomend it to all.
