I have a question...on the silent thing..ok I have the opposite problem..my ex would sit and say nothing or talk in generalities..that had nothing to do with the real topic...when there was something really important that needed to be worked out...silence - he thought would get him his way...and it actually did because what can a person do to counteract this? I am ashamed to say that this pushes my buttons faster than anything..because were both intelligent people capable of having an intelligent conversation..so how does one deal with that and keep their cool and get what they want?
