Hopefully make him decide to do the right thing which would be to MAN-UP to his responsibilities... My niece believes she at least deserves an answer as why he did what he did...even tho i‘m sure it will be just another big fat lie.

So..why bother? It sounds like your niece is better off without him. You can‘t MAKE him be sorry, or be a better person. I know you are angry...but who is it serving to give into that anger?

I knew that "make" was the wrong choice of words but what about the baby....my niece needs to know correct medical history and things like that. Of course she is better off without him...thats a given. I am putting this out on the web for my niece...so u r talking to her aunt and I correspond with her on the replies...thank you for your comments

It would be good if she had his medical history, but its not absolutely essential, there are plenty of women out there who have babies without knowing the dads medical history. I know you are doing this for your niece...but you need to ask yourself if its best for her? It sounds to me like he‘s bad news and the less contact she and her baby have with him the better.

Once again you are probably right...If he was violent and/or abusive in any form than I would not be doing this...and maybe Im doing it for myself also because it is the only way for me to help. And when my family asks for help I do what I can and if me or my sister felt it would harm her in anyway we wouldnt do it. Besides, we are not asking for an obligation to my niece but to his child who deserves to be supported by his absent parent. Its obvious he doesn‘t want anything to do with her or the baby so we will go the legal route if and when we get enuf information. Again thank you for your comments
