HOW are our lil buns in the oven?

Crazy cravings?

Can you still fit in your jeans?

When I was first preggers every morning I‘d wake and drink a huge jar of pickle juice, eat a few of the pickles then move on to a pint of butter pecan ice cream (never tasted the stuff since, it‘s my girls favorite) then off to the bathroom sitting on the floor thinking I was gonna die. Repeated that daily for weeks.

Weighed 97 pounds when I got pregnant and when I delivered I weighted 200. I was so stunned that the weight didn‘t just fall off right when she was born. It didn‘t take long to get back to my normal weight, but it sure was fun gaining it though.

When I was pregnant with my oldest  I gained 60 pounds.  I craved those stupid hot sausages from the gas stations.

I also would sit down with a gallon of milk and a bag of double stuffed oreos.

With my youngest,  I was much better  I gained 22 pounds (i learned my lesson)  I craved fresh fruit and would eat a pint of strawberrys for breakfast every morning.

I loved being pregnant  the second time,  I was never sick and the feeling of a baby inside you moving is the most amazing feeling you will ever have!

Hi Kahlan, you sweet woman you!

Yes I wish more would tell their pregger‘s stories!

Ya know what I couldn‘t stand? Women telling me their horror stories of labor. They scared the crap out of me! So by the time I went into labor I was freaking out, I decided I had changed my mind. I wasn‘t going to go into labor. As if I had a choice. lol

I said ouch a couple times, they gave me something called ‘twilight sleep‘ a couple hours later they gave me an epidural and she was born. Eyes wide open, big blue and beautiful. The doctor said ok this is weird, I‘ve never had a baby watch me delivering her! ahahaha Little hands were so chapped. She was long overdue. Well I was as big as an elephant so it stands to reason I‘d carry her as long as one!

I was pregnant 4 times - 3 daughters, and 1 miscarriage.

I craved seafood.  Shrimp, steamer clams and salmon.  Yes!

I got sick at the sight of eggs, and the smell of bacon frying.  I discovered that peppermint and spearmint candy helped nausea.

I loved naps!  And discovered the cure for swollen feet in the summer time was to go swimming!  Since I managed to be pregnant in the summer with my 3 daughters, I made my way to the river every chance I got.

Yes, and feeling the babies move was the best part!

I did natural childbirth with all 3.  In the 80‘s, they pushed Lamaze for all it was worth, and made it sound like an epidural or a saddle block was not an option.

I loved how they described a contraction as "you may feel some discomfort."  What a joke - tight shoes are "uncomfortable."  However, the Lamaze technique was quite useful and very effective, and I sometimes use the breathing for other types of pain.

The best part, of course, was the blessed day they each arrived.  What a miracle that is.  I will always remember those moments as being the best of my life.

Oh yes -the baby smell - and their soft skin - tiny fingers - baby hiccoughs, and how they just snuggle right into you.  I love the downy fuzz on the top of their heads as well.  They are so precious.
