If all goes well with my son before then, I think I may have to join the masses to try to save some money. I just don‘t know if I have it in me to wait in the brutal lines to get the great deals. If what I‘m hearing/reading is correct, it seems as though the retailers are going to come out with some doozies to get the people spending this season.

I have only done it once in the past, and I hated it!! I may live where it is technically considered warm, but that morning I did it, I was freezing my ASS off.....

Anyone else out there planning on attending the brutality of it all???

With 17 grandkids and 7 sons to buy for.....hell yes, I will be there.  Although we did start buying for our youngest son about 3 months ago, so we are almost finished with his stuff.

I have heard things are going to be more organized this year.  No standing outside and trying to go through the door at once.

Instead of them uncovering crates of stuff and everyone pushing and shoving, you will be given a "ticket" for the item.

I remember one year I was standing by my shopping cart, looking at something else on the shelves....when I turned back around someone had taken what had been in my cart....it was crazy.

Hopefully this year will be better.

You have to be brave to go out in that war!!

There are some good deals to be had but be ready for a huge mob of bargain shoppers!

Some people wait all year for those sales!!!

I‘ve braved it in the past...but stick to online shopping now. No muss no fuss!!

Its 8:43 here, and I am already home from BLACK FRIDAY sales.

It feels great, I got all the shopping done for all the grandkids, except for the 2 youngest, who are babies, one a newborn.  When I shop for them I don‘t want to have to fight the crowds.  I want peace and quiet....lol.

We had to park a mile away, lucky for me I got dropped off at the front door and didn‘t have to walk.   The stores were packed, hard to get down the isles with a shopping cart.  I heard one woman complaining someone had took her shopping cart when she had her back turned.  Must have been something in her cart that someone else had wanted but they were out of.  How crazy was that?  .....other than that incident, everything seemed to be going smoothly.

Check-out lines were backed up almost to the back of the store, but that was to be expected.

I did save quite a bit of money, so over-all it was worth the trip.  Now that I am almost finished buying for my family, I plan to take my youngest son shopping in December and I will let him pick a childs name off the "Angel tree" and we will pick out gifts for a child.

So how did BLACK FRIDAY go for anyone else brave enough to join the crowds???

I actually got a paid afternoon off.

Got the stores mixed up of what I wanted from each.  Damn it!  I guess I was just so overwhelmed they let me off with pay.  Not that I had more than $30.00 to spend anyways.  I bet they will have more sales before it‘s said and done.

Darn brave woman you are DD!!!

Well, I didn‘t go it alone....lol...I had help.

I had asked one of my sons girlfriends if she would go with me to "brave" the crowds......lol.....afterwards, she told everyone that if anyone ever asks her to go to BLACK FRIDAY she will tell them NO....lol.

The isles were so crowded it was almost impossible to get around with a shopping cart, so I would tell her what I wanted and how many, since she only weighs about 105 lbs, she was able to squeeze through the crowd without a shopping cart and bring me back what I wanted...lol....it all worked out.  But she won‘t go next year....:(...:(.....lol.

Now, I have a lot of wrapping presents to do.  I bought all the wrapping paper last year at the after christmas sell.  So I‘m good to go.  We are going to decorate the tree today.  With all new stuff bought at last years after christmas sell.  When you have a large family like mine.....you have to always plan for next year.

And I love the holidays.....:).
