Ok that boat is too tall, way too tall. Tell him to come home right now!!
Ya know it looks like one of those boats that feeds you breakfast at sunrise while floating down the river. Wow I bet he‘s seeing some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Hey! Let‘s go star!

Hi Star
JOE
Dere‘s an ol‘ man called de Mississippi;
Dat‘s de ol‘ man dat I‘d like to be!
What does he care if de world‘s got troubles?
What does he care if de land ain‘t free?
Ol‘ Man River,
Dat Ol‘ Man River
He mus‘ know sumpin‘
But don‘t say nuthin‘,
He jes‘ keeps rollin‘,
He keeps on rollin‘ along.
He don‘ plant taters,
He don‘ plant cotton,
An‘ dem dat plants ‘em
Is soon forgotten,
But Ol‘ Man River,
He jes‘ keeps rollin‘ along.
You an‘ me, we sweat an strain,
Body all achin‘ an‘ racked wid pain -
Tote dat barge!
Lift dat bale!
Git a little drunk,
An‘ you land in jail...
Ah gits weary
An‘ sick of tryin‘;
Ah‘m tired of livin‘
An‘ skeered of dyin‘,
But Ol‘ Man River,
He jes‘ keeps rollin‘ along.
(BARGE MEN enter, pulling rope, during the following
verse. The curtains close in, leaving JOE and MALE CHORUS
in front, in one)
N*****s all work on de Mississippi
N*****s all work while de white folks play,
Pullin‘ dem boats from de dawn to sunset,
Gittin‘ no rest till de Judgement Day.
MEN
Don‘ look up
An‘ don‘ look down
You don‘ dast make
De white boss frown.
Bend your knees
An‘ bow your head,
An‘ pull dat rope
Until yo‘ dead.
JOE
Let me go ‘way from the Mississippi
Let me go ‘way from de white man boss;
Show me dat stream called de river Jordan,
Dat‘s de ol‘ stream dat I long to cross.
MEN
Ol‘ Man River,
Dat Ol‘ Man River,
He mus‘ know sumpin‘
But don‘t say nuthin‘,
He jes‘ keeps rol

Bless you Star
I so know its no consolation but that boat looks strong and sturdy. Very seaworthy.
You know what boat he is on even though you may not know exactly where he is at any given time
I would wager a bet that he is having the time of his young life mummy, while you worry and fret endlessly. Gosh aren‘t we good at that, hahaha.
Star he will be super fine, you can worry with us here
.

Star, it‘s a beautiful boat, and I can tell you that some of my fondest memories of childhood are going down to a small manmade island and watching the tugs push barges into the port. It is very peaceful thing to do. My youngest son would spen all day there if we could.

yes he gets to see the sunrises, he works midnight til 6 a:m then again at 12:00 p:m til 6 p:m. He was in the storm fay, he‘s in Mobile right now and tomorrow headed to Fl.
When he was little we use to meet his dad at the docks and he loved watching them do tow work . Once he went with his dad for a trip and got to drive through the lock, he was 10.
He got his first check deposit into his bank account friday and was very happy. He started working at a restaurant when he was 16 and still working there until he left for the boat, his check friday was three times bigger then the restaurant job. One thing about Aaron is he saves his money.

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain. Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain. The dark days are gone, and the bright days are here, My sunny one shines so sincere. Sunny one so true, I love you.
Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet. Sunny, thank you for the love you brought my way. You gave to me your all and all. Now I feel ten feet tall. Sunny one so true, I love you.
Sunny, thank you for the truth you let me see. Sunny, thank you for the facts from a to c. My life was torn like a windblown sand, And the rock was formed when you held my hand. Sunny one so true, I love you.
Sunny
Sunny, thank you for the smile upon your face. Sunny, thank you for the gleam that shows its grace. Youre my spark of natures fire, Youre my sweet complete desire. Sunny one so true, I love you.

I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.
