I am looking for an attorney my civil rights were violated by Sacramento County when my ex-husband was arrested for domestic violence. They didn‘t comply with any of the laws in the state of california. I have been looking for an attorney but in sacramento it seems they are afraid to confront the da‘s office or the sacramento sheriff‘s office.
How do I collect on the courtP ordered restitution that he was ordered to pay and he has not. He is still on probation and parole. He probationofficer and his parole officer are not enforcing it. I have been trying to find out where he works so I could do a wage garnishment but they won‘t provide me with the information. HELP!!!!
I have permanent injuries from my ex-husband he owes quite a bit of money to me.

When you say "they," who are you talking about? How many attorneys in the Sacramento area have to spoken to? I can‘t believe they are afraid of the DA‘s office. I will ask my bosses about this situation. I‘m on vacation next week, but I will call them on Monday.

I called about 35 different attorneys they seem to back off when it is a domestic violence issue involving civil rights violations. No matter what paperwork and court documents you have.

This is what my boss suggested. As I told you, we are not in this field of law.
My boss said: " i don‘t know what in the hell a "domestic
violence with civil rights violations" would be. However, you should
refer her to:
The Sacto County Bar Assn - they should have a lawyer referral
service. In addition, the Family Law branch of the Superior Court
usually has an advice desk (it was in constant use, with helpful
people, when I was volunteering over there in our county). Finally,
if you want, I can ask Judge Levinger if she has any suggestions next
week = she did family court for quite awhile."
Can you explain what a domestic violence with civil right volations is? Tell me your story and that will help.
