If you want what you have never had, you must do what you have never done.
It is thought that 95% of our thoughts are recurring and wasteful. Wasteful means, we worry about things that never happen. And we have 6-10 thoughts a minute. Ever wonder why you feel like there is a 3-ring circus in your head!
This is especially true when we are thinking about a new relationship or wondering why the phone isn‘t ringing or what "he" is doing. Learn to take the attention off those pesky negative thoughts!
Taking up some type of mediation practice will bring you peace of mind. When getting started, moving meditations are much more fun and approachable. Engage in some type of Kung Fu or Tai Chi exercise.
Combine breath with movement and it is the equivalent of a mental vacation!
Just like brushing your teeth and taking a shower, you can add 5 minutes a day to your routine.
Set small goals.
Recognize that your body is the vessel that carries you around. A toxic body creates a toxic mind and toxic mind creates a toxic body.
