I need some answers. I have had a discharge for months, since I didn‘t go to the dr sooner, she thinks my fibroids may be cancerous. Dr said that my fibroids should be shrinking instead of growing. I‘ve gained weight and look like I‘m 5 months preg. My husband usually punches my in my fibroids and they constantly hurt. I had a mri done yesterday but I‘m wondering if there is anything else it could be.
Also, he constantly beats me on my head with a baseball bat or the butt of a gun and I have a problem walking normal. A brain mri was done. Do you know if the mri will show there is a problem? I had a cat scan done in Februrary and it didn‘t show anything.

Hi
jesluvme.
First things first... Are you being physically abused at home? If so I suggest you have a safety plan.
Please read this:

And for more information on recognizing the patterns of abuse and seeking help: http://www.womansavers.com/forum-for-women/support-for-women/4/19583.html
To answer your question, cancerous fibroids although possible are
very rare. It could be just that your fibroids are growing or
something else. The MRI should help in determining what‘s going on in
that area.
As for the brain, the CT is a good tool to check if there is any
bleeding in the brain, in case of trauma. It is often done in the ER
after someone has suffered a blow to the head and lost consciousness
for any reason. The MRI is good to detect any structural
abnormalities. It is possible that the CT may not show a bleed, but the MRI might detect some damage to the brain.
I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, write back anytime.
I also hope you seek help, because it really doesn‘t pay to be in an abusive relationship.
